damn, that sucks.  have to lock and chain stuff up on the bench cuz you can't trust anyone?

had a friend lose some guns at an indoor range (mainland) just like that.  walked away from his lane for a moment and by the time came back they were gone.
Assault Rifle? What I have here is an Anti-Assault Rifle.

Have'nt been to the pistol range in a while.  Is there some way to lock up your guns to the stand or just run a coated bike cable lock thru the trigger guard and around the counter top?

Just wondering how that's possible when the ROs yell at you for crossing the yellow line?  Every time I've gone, they've been pretty strict about it.  Not saying the story's not true.
The Supreme Court has ruled that you, as an individual, have no right to protection by the police. Their only obligation is to protect "society".

That's why it's a good idea to go shooting with a friend. You can rotate who changes the targets and the other can watch your stuff. Never leave your stuff unattended.

The are RO's are good, but they are only human. I've seen them "distracted" for more than enough time;  for someone someone with sticky fingers to swipe something from a bench.

Do you know if the pistol was stolen from in front of the yellow line or packed away behind it?

I always thought that anyone crossing the yellow line during a cease fire gets called out right away.
I think, therefore I am armed.

I heard it was when the shooter was down range, tending to a target so I assume it was during a cease fire.  The thief probably acted with another person(s) - a spotter. It gets so crowded that a slight of hand is all it takes.
Also a shooter was kicked out yesterday on the rifle side because of "Ainokea" attitude. The shooter set up and proceeded to do double taps and ignored ROs to cease fire. Police were called and he was kicked out. In case, you haven't noticed there is a vacancy for an RO, pays about $12 / hour up to 19 hours per week. Closing date is Mar 29. I think they should get paid more for dealing with armed assholes.

that sucks
When I'm not resetting my target, I always try and keep an eye out on my neighbors stuff. Even though I don't know them I hope they'd do the same.

What type of gun was it? Maybe the thief will slip up and show people his/her "new" gun, and word of mouth will let others keep an eye out for it.

I don't know what that clown was thinking; it's not like he/she can sell it legally.

Sucks.

I heard about a handgun getting stolen from the bullseye range a couple months ago. I was at the silhouette range and a regular came by to give the silhouette RO's a heads up.

I've also heard of a rifle being stolen from the rifle range. It was cased up and just disappeared.
