It's happened twice (that I know of).  I organized one at The Varsity, and Chris hosted one at his home.  Both were in the early days of this forum.  I'd sure be up for another!

I was there for the one at Chris' place and it was great to actually meet other forum members and talk story. We had good food, good people and good times!

I'd be down for another one!

I will put in some hours to help clear out a new range if I can use it and it's on the leeward side
I've only met a few forum members, but my first impression is everyone was pretty awesome.  Like me

+1; I'd be willing to clear shrubbery for a new range!!

What is the HOA clubhouse?

Love the idea of someone hosting at their house, but I might also suggest a public establishment over someone's house, for these reasons:

1.  Rolling up to a public establishment might be seen as more of a "neutral grounds" and present a less intimidating environment for some of the meeker members.

2.  Not saying it WOULD happen, but if anyone gets outta hand, then it becomes the establishment's problem and not the host's problem.

3.  Maybe the host doesn't want everyone to know where he/she lives and give strangers any first-hand intel as to interior layout of the host's home.  OPSEC, baby!!

We got a small rec center in our Homeowners Association we can rent for like $50. I'm not letting you characters in my house.

It's located in Aiea so it's centrally located for town, east side, west side. It's got restrooms and a living room sized building with a covered patio and a small parking lot.  They provide tables, we just gotta set them up.

If anyone gets outta hand we make them do the walk of shame. Everyone I've met so far on this forum has been super cool.

Could make it BYOB / potluck.
I like the idea of a private establishment, but often find it harder to mingle if everyone's sitting at a table or down the bar.

Heck we could have Hello my name stickers with our user names so people can put face to post.

Just thinking out loud so we actually get this thing off the ground.  Open to all suggestions.

Can anyone suggest a place ?

Yes.  I suggest Rainbow Marina if someone can score that area.  Has big covered structure, loads of parking, 2 grills, view of Pearl Harbor etc.  I'd chip in for a bounce house!  Err, for the kids!  :)

Something like that.  or Hans L'orange (sp)?  Kaka'ako?

I'm wondering how many of us know the others, but just don't know the person/screen-name.

Oops...that's the one I made it to, not Chris'.......definitely a fun night!

I'm down for another one and will help out anyway I can, def like the name tag idea and the byob/potluck action!

As for the location, a public place would be good....not sure where though. Kakaako is cool when it's nice out....no power without generator and it's a small hike to pack everything in but there are picnic tables, bathrooms and a killa view there! Don't know much about Rainbow Marina but it sounds cool.
