If I looked up the right info, there are NFA and NON-NFA conversion kits available.

The NFA version would be illegal in HI, since it's classified as an SBR.

The NON-NFA version was legal, but with all the back-and-forth going on in federal court challenging the ATF's pistol brace ban, it's hard to say now.

Not an easy question to answer at the moment.  Whatever answer is correct today could garner a felony charge tomorrow.   :shaka:

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

The law as written states you cannot ccw anywhere but the public sidewalk.  If you choose to go into a business that's open to the public, you need their permission to CCW.

BUT....

There is a court case challenging this.  Go check out the Wolford thread in the legal section.  Read it from page 1 as it's been updated.  Long story short, you do not need permission to enter a business to CCW.

Yes.

Also, I hope you can donate to the lawsuit.  The lawyers are petitioning this for SCOTUS review, which means the 9ths rulling is currently on hold until SCOTUS decides if they will take the case or not. THe link is the Wolford thread.

If this lawsuit fails, then for sure you can only carry on the public sidewalk.  We only get 1 crack at this.

No beacuse the attorney general (AG) won't release this type of info.  The closes you have is the OneOahu org website.  This was created for covid updates.

https://www.oneoahu.org/sensitive-places

I mean, the closest "official" thing is to know how the court system works.  Even with the 9ths ruling, Wolford was given 90 days to submit a request for SCOTUS to review.  Which means procedure wise, the 9ths final ruling is on hold until this request.  And once the request is submitted, the 9ths ruling is on hold until SCOTUS determines if they would like to hear the lawsuit or not.

This is why it's important to donate to the link above.  I posted this in that thread, but the cost just to print the request on the special paper is in the thousands of dollars.
