Here is my single six with Koa handles I made.

"Handles"?

I looked up "Revolver handles", and I think you might have the only set in existence!

You might want to have those rare handles appraised!

Sorry for entering the conversation late.
I appreciate the looks of a cylinder in a frame. It looks flat out cool!
I used to have several older Colt double-action revolvers ie. Police Positives, Army Special, Detective Special etc., but sold them. The only revolvers I have left are three Smith and Wesons.

My Model 19 is a very good target gun when using target semi-wadcutters. I don't consider myself a good handgun shooter, but will consistently get one inch to one and a half inch groups at 25yds. I only shoot only 38 Special loads - target, regular velocity and +Ps. through my Smith Model 19.

The Model 36 Chief's Special was purchased since it was the quintessential private investigator's gun from alot of shows I watched growing up in the 70's.

Had a S&W Model 29 years ago, but sold it since I couldn't shoot it well with full power 44 Mag loads. This prompted me to acquire anothet N frame revolver, but in 357. Bought a Model 27 with the well-balanced 5" barrel. This gun I can shoot respectful groups with. It's a man-sized gun weighing 45 ounces or so. However, the weight helps to soak up recoil from stiff 357 loads. There you have it! My revolver show and tell!

Thanks! Eventually I want to pick up a Ruger Blackhawk in 41 Mag. Prefferably one with a 4.6" brl. so it can ride conviently in a belt holster. Seems to be the ideal setup for feral pigs. This Ruger's size and weight almost like a Colt SA.

Dogman what revolvers do you like to shoot and collect?
Do you handgun hunt? I hunted with a handgun only once. Of course with a revolver.  I did not harvest anything, but I'm sure it would've been a blast had I taken game.  :shaka:

beautiful revolvers!
I have a SBH with 4.6" barrel, in 44 mag.
I dont hunt, but i also figured it is a great size for up close pig hunting, and small enough to be comfortable while hiking.
I've never shot a 41 mag before.
sounds like you have a plan!

Hey hunter, I'm kinda new to older revolvers. I picked up a like new Model 10-10 square butt with rubber grips at the beginning of  the year. A couple of months ago I installed factory S & W wood target grips and now I have a thing for blue Smiths with factory wood grips. I added a Model 10-10 "police trade in" round butt to abuse, which came with the factory wood grips in pretty good shape.  Waiting for permit  so I bring home a Model 28 Highway Patrolman. I don't hunt, mostly go to HDF and HRA events when I can. You do have three beautiful Smith & Wessons

Only hunted with a handgun once or twice; can't remember. Hunt almost exclusively with rifles and shotguns. The Smith in models 10 and 28 are both very good choices. Beware the addiction to polished blued
steel guns is highly contagious. Thanks for the reply!

My first big gun was a mod 19.
I loved it and beat the crap out of it with 357 loads...had to get it repaired a few times.
Then one day I walked into the Armory on Kaheka st and myles pointed out a nice m27 on consignment.
It has the 3.5 in bbl so it looks like a snubby on steroids.
Now I don't have to worry about shooting mag loads any more.
What, Me Worry?

I heard from several people don't shoot full power 357 loads on a regular basis in a 19. Prescribed to that since I bought my 19.
Changing the subject, greatly appreciate the news video you posted a little over a year ago on the topic of a hunting bird dog in Hawaii. I couldn't. help but remember
the first time my uncle took me dove hunting in the back roads of Mililani about 40 yrs. ago. Picked up ammo from Buster's place - Waipahu Bicycle Shop, and promptly went hunting. Shot my first firearm; a 410 shotgun. Been hooked on hunting and guns ever since.

Right on, bro.
Btw the m29 with full 44 loads also break down. I did that too. LOL :(
That reminds me, I bought some new xtreme copper 44 bullets with the hope that they will shoot straight at medium strength mag velocity.
Almost forgot I had them.

So I let Neon Horse talk me out of a GP100 (http://rugerforum.net/gun-gallery/131752-custom-gp-1-6-i-got-one-pics-inside.html) which gave me a good excuse to replace it.  But I wanted to try something new....

Here is yet another GP100 that started out as a stainless steel Model 1751 chambered in 38 Special.  Now re-chambered to 357 Magnum, slab-sided and engraved.  But this one got taken in different direction finish-wise with a Cerakote black finish with polished accents (hammer, trigger, hammer pin, ejector rod, cylinder release latch and ejector rod pin).  The Cerakote was applied over top aluminum oxide media blasting to achieve a finish similar to the WC Hawkeye Matte Blue (Model 1753).  The grips are the new compacts and the front sight a simple red insert.

I had some trepidation applying Cerakote to a perfectly fine, brand new stainless steel revolver but I love the way it turned out and I'm glad I did it.  May not be everyone's cup of tea but I'm digging it (and that's all that matters I suppose.)  I think it's kinda tactical, kinda elegant all at the same time.
