i wonder if thats with the factory spring? if so thats kinda impressive, id be more impressed if he could do that to a glock 20, 21, or 22. it could have been a light spring for light 9mm loads.

Am I missing something here?  I mean, I get that it was a very fast chambering, but I don't get how its "1 handed".

I'm with Jay, if he wants it to be impressive, blow off a mag and show that a functional spring is in the weapon.  ( assuming he didn't use his left hand. )

( He said Blow Off a mag.  Huh, huh.....huh, huh, huh )

Thanks for posting though Dirsch. Good discussion topic.

i cant verify without seeing slow mo vid as dexter mentioned, but it appears as if he uses only his strong hands momentum to rack the slide by quickly pulling the whole gun back and moving it forward as quickly and with as much authority as possible. id imagine he would have to keep it level or it would get hung up similar to limp wristing it while firing.

Don't know if the gimmick would be worth the pain in the shoulder...I suppose it would be cool for the "wow" effect.

So long as the slide is heavy it's not hard to do.  If you guys have ever run around with a pistol, you can feel the slide bouncing.

Just tried it with my Glock 22. Took me three times and my wife to look at me like I went full retard

Wouldn't want to do it often, but my kids thought it was the coolest thing ever...love that they are still easily amused!

Seems to me that it takes more physical effort than just racking the slide with the opposite hand.

Let me know next time you are at the range...you can try it with my Glock. I am hoping to get there this weekend.

No Shi* ! Now I'm convinced. And if you watch the first vid Dirsch posted you can see it more clearly now.

I gotta try it now just for Shi*s and Giggles.

You can do it with a 1911 or a 220.  You just need enough momentum in order to overcome the hammer & slide springs.
