I heard KHSC prohibits .50 cal. too but the prohibition doesn't appear on the recently updated website.  http://www.khsc.info/index.php/prohibited. I do believe I saw it posted at the range.

I also heard that a "modified" .50 cal. round is allowed and thought I saw a dude shooting one at the range a year ago. I have no clue what that means. Shorter case length?

Was the caliber a 510 DTC Europ? This has a modified 50 bmg case that is .100 inch shorter with a different angled shoulder.

Just bought an Edm Arms XM408 that ill be shipping soon. Edm Arms has some sales going on the past month. Bought mine with $1000 off the regular price. One thing good about Edm Arms is, like the Desert Tactical Arms setup, you can switch barrels. I was thinking of getting a 338 and a 510 DTC Europ switch bolt and barrel.

I saw a sign at KHSC that said .50bmg is prohibited. But the .50ae is allowed. I also shot a .50ae desert eagle during my license training at Koko so I'm pretty sure it's legal.

I shot my .50 AE Desert Eagle at KHSC but told to limit 1 bullet in the magazine at a time. So confirming tha .50 AE is legal, also the 50 Beowulf is also legal. :shaka:

Sounds like some on the fly, made up rule. Nowhere on the website does it state anything about prohibiting certain firearms/calibers to 1 round at a time. Only states do not load more than 5 rounds.
Kkhsc does not have an official website.

The website was created by a former RSO and is a great guide but not the final say on issues when at the range. If you have any questions speak to the RSOs or ask the Rangemaster, Mike. Most of the rules were created after an incident has happened, thus like laws, are always evolving to address issues.
