Now the NAACP is considering pursuing a civil case against him.

Doesn't Florida self defense law protect Zimmerman now that he's been found to have acted in lawful self-defense?

Yeah, I just quoted myself, because I'm about to answer my own question.  Boom.  That just happened!  Lol.  Anyway, they can't bring a civil suit against Zimmerman.  I think the previous poster was confused, the NAACP is circulating a petition for the Justice Department to open a case against Zimmerman for civil rights violations.  Basically, the new stated position of the NAACP is that reporting someone to the police is a violation of their civil rights.  Hooyah, NAACP, I've always thought you guys were awesome!  (Sarcasm.  Heavy.)

They tend to do this whenever ANY person of African-American descent doesn't get what they feel is justice.

Wonder how 'racist' it would be if they formed the NWACP, who's sole purpose was to defend the interest of white people and ensure that they receive proper 'justice'.

Not sure you have the right definition of NAACP ...  National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

I have found it ironic this organization keeps "Colored" in it's name when that term is considered derogatory to many.
When only cops have guns, it's called a "police state".

on a Youtube chat I watched they discussed this. And the out come was that no one cannot sue in civil court if a person was found innocent due to using self defense (in florida). They also.mentioned that someone could bring a civil suite against him and cost him thousands of dollars in court fees just to have the case thrown out.

Is anybody else listening to Piers Morgan about this?  Why do I put myself through this?  Zimmerman's brother is handling himself very well though.

By law not guilty.  His life is forever changed though.  I wouldn't feel safe walking around if I was him. Doesn't make it right but its the truth thanks to the media.

If I was him I'd move to Wyoming.  There's only like three black people in the whole state, so he'd probably be pretty safe.

By the way if trayvon was Hispanic or white and Zimmerman was black this wouldn't be in the MSM.

He violated the rules that any credible ccw course lays out which say that you aren't supposed to be going out and starting conflicts. It sets up a standard where people can walk up, start a fight, and kill in self defense. Florida justice system was never very bright, though. Let them live with their interpretation of the law and the consequences of having a two-tiered system for people who look different. The hell they are creating will be punishment enough.

Wouldnt worry too much about,

Since dissmissal would be a slam dunk, some pro 2a lawyer would probably take the case pro bono.

Also I was under the impression that any court fees are the responsability of the loosing party?

"any court fees are the responsability of the loosing party?"

Nope.  Only if the defendant files a counter-suit for something like harassment (filing a harassment suit) or defamation and slander (lying about things the defendant said or did).

Our courts are set up so the weakest among us can still seek justice.  If faced with the possibility of paying the winner, many complaints would be stifled.

Zimmerman should complain that as a hispanic man he's being unfairly treated by this continued assassination of his character.
