Preparedness and Survival / Re: Hurricane season 2019

I went to Costco last week and was able to get 2 boxes of the mountain house freeze dried food.  Price came out to about $67 each and theres a total of 13 pouches in each box.   If you look around, even on amazon any mountain house product you find averages out to around $8-$9 per pouch ($104-$117 for 13 pouches)

So far i've only tried the chicken and noodles (purchased off Amazon and is not included in the Costco box) and I have to say the family was impressed with the taste.  Kinda like liptons packaged pasta products.

Anyway, If it's still available at Costco I recommend picking some up I'll probably attempt to grab another box or two myself.

Several countries issued a recall of hundreds of thousands of supposedly N95 masks manufactured in China after reports they were not working.  Germany, Canada, and the Netherlands were among those issuing recalls.

China's response?  "Read the directions!"   :wtf:

I wouldn't trust ANY kind of mask that came from China at the moment.  The US refused to accept those masks prior to the recalls.

UHOH😰

Not kn95 or n95 , just the simple blue and white masks.

That was a long @$$ article for someone like me😂.  To make sure I read correctly, the study measured the effectiveness of someone with the virus wearing a mask and coughing?  Then it provides stats on the the ability (or inability) of the masks to effectively filter the virus to prevent it from spreading?

What about those without the virus that are wearing the masks to prevent themselves from contracting the virus?  Is it effective in that sense?  Sorry if I missed something🤙🤙

Does anyone have any experience using the cheapy feeling surgical masks from China that are currently flooding the US market? I bought some off a lady on craigslist because its the only thing I could get my hands on that are supposed to be better than cloth/material masks. My father in law also bought a box of 50 from fisher hawaii for twice the price I paid and they seem identical to the masks I bought.  I would just like to know more about their effectiveness if anybody has info on them.  🤙🤙

Just curious Kawika,

Check the member in questions post history.
I’l bet 5 cents almost all his posts, if not all, are selling stuff. (Maybe buying also)
A few people use this forum just for buy and sell. Like a 2A craigslist.
They’re generally not as courteous from my experience.

P.S.
I am one who likes to sell to and buy from people with post history. And so far they have all been super cool.
(Except maybe two not-so-good experiences)

I myself have been primarily using this forum to buy/sell but after meeting a bunch of cool braddahs and reading the discussions, I realized im learning a lot at the same time.  As soon as I feel I can keep up with the conversations ill jump in.....maybe😂

Still though, that should be conveyed to the buyer. I think what WTF?Shane posted is probably what happened. I think I put together which seller you're implying, and hes reputable. PMs must get buried all the time with him. And that's just it, could be a number of reasons.

Bottom line, you'll find what you want on here. It'll pop up again, and you going score!

Also some people might prefer to not deal with someone with a limited history.

excellent point never considered that🤔

All very good points, and I think I was just surprised because I reached out to seller twice and seller continued to post until sold without responding.......and I didn't mean to yell in all CAPS😂, I have since changed to lower case letters🤙🤙

Maybe im just a dickhead( yeah jump on that dickheads😂) but is it not common courtesy to reply to someone that has sent you a message/PM/reply to an ad?  I try my absolute best to reply to all messages but seems like not everyone does and it leaves buyers/sellers hanging dry.... thoughts?  and yes im ready for the onslaught😷😷😷😷😷😷
