ALL OF MY SECURITY TEAM IS ARMED, BUT THEY ALSO SUPPORT STRICTER GUN CONTROL LAWS AND BELIEVE THAT WE SHOULD RESTRICT ACCESS TO FIREARMS FOR PEOPLE WITH MENTAL ILLNESS, ANYONE PREVIOUSLY CONVICTED OF A MISDEMEANOR, THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN SUBJECT TO A TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDER AND THOSE AT A HIGHER RISK OF COMMITTING GUN VIOLENCE."

WTF, why do people say "people at higher risk of committing gun violence" ???
Gun violence isn't cancer, it doesn't happen someone as a perpetrator beyond their control. . You choose to be violent with a gun so it isn't a risk of gun violence for the perpetrator. People aren't at higher risk for committing violent crimes, they are in control in the vast majority of situations. Risk is not an element at play.
Besides, if we are going to go by "risks" then that means young males, black males, and certain other groups should be denied guns.

That's exactly what Bloomberg proposed. I think his minimum age for legal ownership (not that legal owners commit that many crimes...) was 28 for minority males. But since he's a full blown socialist, that isn't "racism".
