How many armed citizens in hawaii have turned into mass shooters, murderers, armed robbers, road rage shooters, killed their spouse, shot someone by accident, opened fire in public, or even committed any kind of felony or crime whatsoever?
Zero
So armed citizens in hawaii are 100% safe people. Nothing to worry about. That's the facts.

Why would the guy that got killed try to draw his weapon when the gunman brandished the shotgun? Wouldn’t you get down ,draw your weapon then proceed?i'm fairly certain that all strategic planning goes out the window once someone pulls a shotgun on you...
The gunman was shot by a civilian as he left the church.“He won’t be doing that again...”

But I won’t. ( snowflapp no need to respond)
Does anyone realize that this State is run by Democrats (like 98%) and this is a public forum and by alienating all the Democrats we’re just digging a hole?
We can stand on a Republican Soap Box but we can also beat our heads against a wall.
This is a perfect example to take to our Democrat reps on January 30th for our rally.
Just my opinion.

Just a thought.

This event is a perfect example to take to our Democrat reps on January 30th for our rally.I am going to try and get the day off for this event. Tho I am not sure I will be able to. I used up most of my time off taking this week off between x-mas and New Years. No promises, but I will try.
Just my opinion.
It was eye opening.
My daughter asked me this evening if i saw the video.
She said that’s exactly what I’ve been talking about, as an armed citizen stops the threat in 1 shot and five more were ready to go.
Proud Papa as she is pretty fully anti-gun.

There are so many fractured groups here that if we could organize everyone together we might stand a chance.
Well said Inspector.

My bad folks. I knew this was coming no matter what.
Apparently he can’t read. :geekdanc: (snowflapp dance)

Sometimes it takes an eye opening event to show the way. No matter how many stats are given, it takes just 1 thing to help show the way.
I knew a guy who was very anti 2a. His friend was that realtor who was brutally murdered in the North Shore and daughter tied up. So bad they told her husband not to come inside to ID her. He bought an AR shortly after that and was man enough to admit he had been wrong about guns.
My parents are pretty anti 2a. But my mom is coming around because she used to work in downtown and sees the crack heads when going on the bus to and from work. She hears the stories of coworkers who do the same. My father is still in his secure fairy tale life. He drives everywhere and doesn't have to interact with crackheads or criminals.
Tag. You’re It.
I got the last word. (How long will this go on? Stay tuned I guess)

P.S. thanks for the tinfoil CMO. It’s very soothing.
I agree with this. Though I would think most would see right through much of the rhetoric as mostly venting.
I was suggesting this forum alienates the pro-2A Democrats which I’m guessing there are a crap load of ‘em in this State judging by whose in office and the number of gun owners.

As a wide friend mentioned the other day, this is a 2s thing that ALL should get behind. Alienating any pro-2a group or individuals for that matter doesn’t help. Enough of the various shooting groups bickering and get together and fight this BS
Ok, end my venting. Coffee now kicking in.
Have a good day!

WiSe... While this friend definitely isn’t skinny, he’s not fat. Or at least that much fatter than I am 😳

I’m guessing there are not that many. But honestly, who knows for sure? I’m not sure how they figure how many gun owners there are here? If they go by the registration records then they are WAAAAAY off cuz they don’t destroy them when someone leaves. This is just my feeling but I think the number of gun owners they estimate are on island are probably much smaller than what I see as estimates. But that is just my opinion only. I have no basis in fact on this.

We’re like the Hawaiians. (Hope Kuleana doesn’t see this or this thread is going off the rails)Yeah, let’s try and keep this on topic.
Yeah, let’s try and keep this on topic. :rofl:Another $5 bet? 😝
By "citizen," do you include citizens with badges?
Because a guy named Deedy -- a man with a badge and a gun -- has had his life ruined for committing what the state has charged as murder.
Another $5 bet? 😝No one here does anything illegal.

Wasn't there a guy who worked at Xerox on Ohau that killed a few of his fellow workers?
How about the cop on the BI that chased his wife down and killed her, this was in Waikola village?
I'm sure I can find a few more. I don't care about your life, if you don't.
I'm willing to risk that my fellow gun owners are responsible.
I'm very sure the Hawaii Democrat party is not trustworthy.
They run the government and the cops. That is proof enough,
we need concealed carry or open carry guns for our personal
protection.
The video of the Texas church shooting may be disturbing. I'll
post it if requested, 911 would not have worked.
HPD would do what they do best, write reports.
sorry, I should have been more clear in my post. I meant lawfully armed citizens, and not off duty or retired LEO or armed security. we don't have any lawfully armed civilian citizens in Hawaii, and that was my pointGottcha.

Almost like a coalition. Sounds like a good concept.
What if the exact same incident happened here?
It would be an conundrum for the police and prosecutor.
How about something like....... OH I know!I’m sure Zippz and London are doing the best they can with what they have to work with. So far what I have seen is pretty impressive. I applaud them for what they have accomplished so far.
Hawaii Firearms Coalition
Yeah that's a good name. Now who could we get to organize such a thing?......
......................................................
Back to you Zippz
And see you on the 30th

Agreed but in my discussions with some liberals about such instances they just see it intrinsically different. It's like some of them are working with a different set of logic. They think with all their gun control ideas instances like this wouldn't happen so there would be no need for an armed citizen to save the day. Now there is some intuitive basis for their line of reasoning but they don't seem to see past the gun itself. You have hit an important point, but are probably trying to be polite.
