The list of arrests of some of the "boys" in that car were pretty :o
Yeah, people "shouldn't be judged" based on their past actions, but in this case, I think they won the "stupid prizes" that people keep telling me about.

My philosophy if you participate in crimes, expect consequences. Don't have all that much sympathy for these criminals, do they deserve to die? No, but actions have consequences. Hope that police officer has no major ramifications, just like Derek.

Victim of himself :shake:
Kinda like how if you kill yourself you are a victim of murder by yourself. :geekdanc:

HNN had a different tone last night, at least from KITV and their initial "victimology" report.

apple doesnt fall far from the tree. i believe the older brother they interviewed got arrested for doing the same thing at ala moana beach park a year or two ago. And the one that just died just got out of juvi for ramming police cars in another stolen car in chinatown in 2019.

All the morons posting comments on the FB page saying he didn't deserve this and stuff like that.

Did the guy that got his house broken into deserve it?
-
To the family he was just a boy, a precious child. I can understand that.
To the people and LE around that area during the incident, he was a threat to everyone's lives.
Hopefully the family understands that.

Dead guys brother was on HI's most wanted.

I wished the car exploded into flames when they crashed and they all burned to death. Would have saved taxpayers a lot of money..
Now there is going to be the expenses of a trial for the rest of them and then supporting them while they serve their time. Bunch of asshole career criminals.

Not after the families sue the City for having insufficient "vehicle safety" measures.

Clearly they were not ready for the consequences of the street game

Fuck him....put his dead ass in a box and ship it back to Guam! Hafa adai, sucker :grrr: >:D

The $64,000 question is not if you think he deserved to get shot, but if you want to live in a city crawling with kids who have no future and would gladly take out their frustrations on the rest of us. We have to figure out some way of integrating them back into society or we will spend the rest of our lives constantly looking over our shoulders.

They dont want them, the Chamorro people get flooded by Micronesians using Guam as a stepping stone to their next stop, often here. Large sections of Guam have become 'no go zones' because of 'Truksters' - Micros leaving Truk, Saipan, Palau, etc. The whole reason they get to leave their islands and move around the US and join street gangs is they get a monthly check from the US government to do nothing as s sorry for atomic testing 80 yrs ago. As my friends in Guam tell it, their standard M.O. is to buy a car very first thing, never ever having driven one, and roll around without insurance crashing into other folks until they start to get the hang of it. I was at a hotel in Guam and a Trukster showed up to the pool and started jerking while a kid's birthday party was going on. Small gene pools make for weird folks. I know a buncha hard working good people Micros here on Oahu, but they are the first to tell you its rare, and culturally they are expected to provide for the rest of the clan uninterested in getting a job.

Crips and Bloods bandanas. Go to Sand Island beach park on a week end and you'll see a ton of Micro Bloods gang members hanging out there.

Truksters. Is that a slang for those from Chuuk?
That other stuff is interesting. I heard of issues, but not quite the picture that you painted. Not saying that it isn't true, but more likely my ignorance. I did a lot of work on Guam in the 2004-2020 zone. Stopped just prior to COVID shutdowns. I had friends from college that lived there during that time, but most of them have moved back to the US mainland.

Don't watch the interview by his brother, it will make you dumber.

Guam 1975 to 1977.
Hope you enjoyed Typhoon Pamela as much as I did or if you missed it
(June 1976) good for you.
I like Guam. if it wasn't so small I'd be living there.
Better gun laws than Hawaii.

Yup and was a catchall the locals used to describe all non-indigenous Micros

My info is dated, I havent been to Guam for 18ish yrs or so. Meth was a HUGE problem when I was there. There were banners at almost every major intersection with No Hope in Dope / Meth Kills etc. There were a lot of Micros working as day laborers as they were expanding Tumon Bay waterfront attractions, and 10X as many Chinese Wetbacks. The Micros were getting fired constantly and were replaced by a half dozen Chinese laborers because they cost nothing a day. Guam had nothing like an OSHA, all those job sites were a shitshows with ambulances coming 2-3X a week. The local people were awesome, they love Hawaii folks and Hawaii music, you could meet someone for 10 minutes and they would invite you to their house for dinner that night. Some really really good food was had. They send a lot of their kids to Hawaii to go to UH.
edit- might be more than 18 yrs ago, I was there when they were building Underwater World in downtown Tumon. Somewhere I still have a hard hat with a Club G-Spot sticker on it.

I just about died laughing when he said something to the effect of the police treated his brother like a criminal....

They had another term for what you mentioned, but I forget.
Funny you mention OSHA. Still sort of like that on construction "around town". Some interesting scaffolding.
I went to college with a bunch of folks from Guam in Seattle. Learned "Guamanian" wasn't cool quickly. Really good food is right, and some interesting dishes as well.
G-Spot. . . I think I may have a t-shirt somewhere. ;D

when I used to work at the airport over 10 yrs ago, there used to be tons of micros flying to the mainland almost daily. Continental flight to either Little Rock or Dallas/Fort Worth if I remember correctly, one of those two. Anyways, I wonder if they are as much of a problem on the mainland as they are down here. We certainly dont hear about it
