So since all the fake news about Trump has been disproven time after time (Russia, Ukraine, etc...), the only thing they have now is to nitpick on anything he or his people do.
SSHOT is full of half stories and even lies. And so are other social media sights.
I expect this to go on for the next 4 years.
We circle back to if Trump had the cure for cancer, the fake news headline and TDS'ers would read "Trump puts thousands of medical specialist out of work".
Most recent:
1) Elon doesn't have security clearance to view gov computer data. He's not even from the US.
2) "We will go to war with Panama" (lol, bruh, range too far)
3) Canada and Mexico tariffs will collapse the US market/dollar
4) Trumps people are deporting "immigrants".
5) J6 criminals released/8 cops died (some committed suicide and other of natural causes, etc...)
If these people didn't actually believe the headlines, it would be comical how dumb they are.

Elon Musk is a US citizen. He was naturalized in 2002.
Democrats seem to trust illegals who are not citizens (more and more by the millions each year) more than someone who's besting NASA and most EV makers.
Only one person died in Jan 6 -- Ashli Babbitt. An unarmed woman shot and killed by Capitol Police.
2 officers died by their own hands weeks later.
3 others died from "medical emergencies."
-- 55-year-old Kevin Greeson of Alabama, suffered a heart attack;
-- 50-year-old Benjamin Philips of Pennsylvania, suffered a stroke; and
-- 34-year-old Rosanne Boyland of Georgia, supposedly pinned on the ground as protestors pushed against a barrier.
Reports say she fainted and fell, some characterizing that she was trampled.
The truth is, she died of acute amphetamine intoxication, according to a release
... from the D.C. Officer of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Another Capitol Police Officer, Brian Sicknick, Died Later Of Natural Causes, Medical Examiner Rules, but initially was reported as being a result of injuries received on J6.
Just like COVID, if they can advance a narrative, the government and media have no qualms about lying when they think they can get away with it.

In her first press conference, WHPS Leavitt warned the press if any of you spread disinformation or misinformation you will be called on it. I will tell you the truth and expect you to do the same. I have noticed the press is far less antagonistic than before.

Trump called out a reporter for asking a stupid question. He was asked if he planned to visit the crash site of the recent midair collision. Trump fired back, "It's water. What am i supposed to do, swim there?"
This is why we love him. Any other other president would have made some PC comment like, "the accident was a tragedy, and I've been getting updates on the matter as they are made available." You know -- a non-answer answer.

Well well. Looks like someone is upset that Al-Qaeda isn't going to get their payments on time.

You are partially right but some of the things aren't made up.
Trump did say he would consider military action to take the Panama Canal
Some of the Jan 6 people pardoned by Trump were violent against law enforcement and should never have been pardoned
This is where I really hate the media, they are hyperbolic in reporting the stories which is bad in and of itself but it also gives license to Trump cult members looking for an excuse to not believe anything bad about Trump.

Like which was was violent who he pardoned? Name?
Trump was asked about military usage and he replied as anyone should. He didn't bring it up randomly. Should he have just said "next question" or stared blankly into the reporters eyes?

Trump has answered similar questions in the past. His answers are usually similar. Nothing is off the table. He's not about to broadcast his strategy or preferences publicly. That severely limits the amount of leverage he can use if the other side knows the limit of his resolve.

He replied that he was considering using the military. Thats why it wasn't fake news. The media blew it bigger than they should have but the issue became an issue because Trump is either power mad or he spouted off his stupid mouth like he frequently does. The news didn't create this story out of nothing.
I don't know the individual names and records of all the Jan 6th people he pardoned but it has been widely reported that even ones who were convicted of violence against police were pardoned. Even fellow republicans have criticized Trump's choice here. If you truly don't believe any violent Jan 6th protesters were pardoned then let me know and I will go find you a name.

After all these years, you still don't understand what fake news is.
I won't assume a violent one was pardoned until I get their name and see what they did. Because the left labeled all of them "violent" and how the capitol was violently broken into. When video shows people walking in, being escorted in and around, etc...So just say "CMO, I don't have a name, I was just parroting what I heard by the media. I have no proof to back up my statement".
I've also seen reports that a bunch of officers died on J6 with regard to the pardons. Even though none did.

The way you use fake news I know exactly what it is. Use inaccurate or biased reporting to case enough doubt to justify believing what you want to believe.
Most bad journalism isn't made up stories, they are real stories which are twisted by biases.
As for wanting a name, here is a handy article mentioning a few for you.
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/people-are-violent-jan-6-rioters-trump-pardoned-rcna188545
Take this guy, Andrew Taake, who was sentenced to 6 years for attacking police with a whip. He got pardoned and he was released despite a request to hold him on a state charge of soliciting a minor.
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/texas-man-pardoned-jan-6-attack-wanted-2016-charge-soliciting-minor-rcna189933
Hard to criticize Biden's terrible clemency when Trump goes and does something similar.

I wouldnt be surprised if an audit finds that USAID programs fed into Shitz's side hustle.

You left out "made up" stories. Even though this falls under the "inaccurate" area, made up means a much more worst level.
The fact that you had to once again post it after I asked for more examples, means you didn't know for sure and had to look it up to confirm or unconfirm any statement. Did you see the video of a whip that he used? As in there's no way it was self defense first? I'm not clicking on the links FYI, which is why I'm asking. Refer to my made up stories about J6 I already posted about, which is why i'm asking for vid.

Not similar at all. They were the targets of weaponized justice system, attack dog media, and a congressional cover up.

Wrong. You asked for specific names which I do not know off the top of my head so I posted examples to give you some of the names.
You are not clicking links? So you want names but when I give you proof you don't want to consider it and immediately deflect to some unsubstantiated belief that the people mentioned never actually did anything wrong. Don't bother asking for evidence again because you have already demonstrated it is pointless because you would rather believe in what you want.
Tell me, how is it being a member of the Trump cult?

Sorry but I don't subscribe to that conspiracy theory.
I do believe that some of the people were over prosecuted, that some should have been charged with lesser trespassing type charges, but the idea that all 1600 people were charged, and convicted or plead guilty when they didn't do anything illegal is utter garbage.

Seems to me, since the Super Bowl increases security anyway due to the event being a very possible target for terrorists, layering on the Secret Service would be an added bonus. More eyes on the event can only increase security for everyone.

The fake news is saying Tesla is losing money due to people boycotting. Once you reach the title of the richest man in the world, money holds little value. The left is calling to boycot Tesla, Starlink, and all his things.
How they forget that when SHTF, Starlink is there quickly. Refer to NC, Ukraine, etc...

Even prior to DOGE, some leftist attacked Tesla because he's profiting big time. Shows that liberals don't understand economics, I mean, they do support socialism. "We want you to make a good EV to save the planet, but you cannot make lots of money off of a good product. At best, break even."

The ultimate question for me is whether it was a waste of government money. I saw they reported it cost $20 million which I doubt is the accurate cost. I suspect much of that price includes the salaries of agents who would be paid whether Trump went to the game or not.
Even if the additional cost of Trump attending a sporting event was only $5 million I still think he should not have gone. The fact his administration is going on a huge budget cutting campaign while he costs taxpayers a bunch of money on a non-essential event makes it hypocritical and undermines a good thing he is doing in his presidency.
BTW, I am a bit of a budget hawk, I have criticized presidents left and right for travel costs that have no government purpose or which could be performed by a lower official. Taxpayers shouldn't pay so a president can go to a superbowl game or so he can toss out bottled water at a natural disaster site, etc.
-
Presidents should be seen. Out mingling with the public. Town Halls. Baseball games. Even the Super Bowl.
Shaking hands, lending an ear, and yes, even kissing babies.
People need to see their President out and about.
In my opinion this expense is different than corrupt and greedy government bureaucrats funneling tax monies to people and places that were not intended to recieve those monies.
-

At least with a Super Bowl attendance, there's transparency in where that money was spent. I have no problem with that. Trump works harder and longer hours than any of his predecessors from what everyone says. i think if he wants to go to the game and support his team in person, there's absolutely nothing wrok with that. He deserves a few hours of getting out and about wherever he chooses.
Anyone who has a problem with the cost should remember -- he's not accepting his salary nor his retirement pay. I'm sure that more than offsets a Super Bowl when you factor out the fixed costs that would already be spent regardless.
Salary ~ $450,000/year x 8 yrs = $3,600,000 + retirement.
He also saved the country millions, if not billions, by capping the new AF One purchase at $4 billion -- threatening to cancel the project if it exceeds that ceiling.
People cry over every dollar Trump spends for things like a sports event, but turn a blind eye to the trillions wasted on Ukraine.

I can't disagree with your last sentence.
Personally I am rather thrifty with not only my money but with any money budgeted to me so if I were president I would delegate those jobs to people who could do it more efficiently. There is nothing I would magically do as president that some appointee couldn't do just as well for cheaper. But that's just me.

So what events do you think the POTUS should be allowed to attend? We know Super Bowl is one that you feel no POTUS should attend.
FYI, this should make you feel better, any food he eats in the WH and it's not an event, he and his family has to pay for. So he gets hungry at 1am and wants a sandwich, guess what, he gets billed for it.

I never said anything about being allowed to attend. I am talking about what events he chooses to attend.
If I were trying to make a name for myself about cutting government waste I sure wouldn't go around spending large amounts of taxpayer money on non-essential travel. But Trump doesn't have that type of integrity so I am not expecting much. During his first term he commented about how he would be so busy he could probably not play any golf as president. He was full of crap.

if you believe that's the case, you're hopeless.
I didn't say he was only cutting waste to make a name for himself.
I am saying if cutting waste was one of his big goals then he should lead by example rather than telling other people to cut costs yet but still spend millions of taxpayer money to see a sporting event.
-
Are you going to admit that you were wrong? I doubt it.
How about answer my questions on what events should be not go to. Should he jsut stay at the WH for anything but official events?
Maybe you should read my actual quote if you are going to quote me. Nowhere did I say allowed, again it is about his choice, a leadership decision.
To answer your question, yes I would argue that presidents should stay in the White House most of the time. Basically travel for official events where his attendance is important. The occasional vacation I would argue is warranted as well.
-

He does lead by example. Depriving himself of a public event because it might cost money is not being a hypocrite. It's showing he's made the decision based on priorities. Going to a major sporting event helps public morale. He's the popular choice in the elections, so he's just embracing that.
Biden hid in his basement until he campaigned for reelection. Even then he wasn't in public very much. I guess you'd prefer Trump do that instead.

And here's the goal post. Like usual, facts are presented which counter what you think and then goal post are moved by yourself.
So you want any POTUS to have more of a house arrest? POTUS is free to roam the nation as he pleases like majority of other citizens. You're making the presidency sound more like a work release program/prison. I'm glad you're not a decision maker on how a free citizen spends their time.
Lets see how you try to deflect this and change your tune. It would probably start with "I never said...."

THe fake news has told the people that medicare and social security will be cut. But Trump stated that it won't. But there are those who shouldn't be receiving it and that will stop. Like how DOGE found out that lots of money is being sent overseas to people who don't qualify for it. I'm not 100% sure of Trumps statement, so correct me if I'm wrong.
I've had multiple older people talk to me about it and they were concerned.
Fake news radio 88.1 NPR was bashing Trump on how he said no one has heard of Leutu or something (African country) and how they cut millions for LGBT funding there. I've never heard of it and I'm sure many others haven't either. I listen to this station on occassion to see what BS they're spewing. Their President even made a statement that he's upset cause people have heard of Leuto.

Same old Democrat/media propaganda playbook. If the Dems want a 10% increase in spending, and the GOP agrees to a 5% increase, the Left screams with their hair on fire that the GOP is cutting spending -- as opposed to the truth which is they are cutting the requested increase. it's still an increase, but the liars can't manipulate voters as easily with "smaller increase" outcries.
It's fun watching Democrats defend wasteful spending and a bloated IRS while demanding billionaires pay more in taxes supposedly so they themselves won't have to. I don't think they understand how billionaires who operate corporations will just pass those tax increases on to their customers.
-
He does lead by example.
I disagree.
I don't see any great benefit to public morale by having Trump at a sporting event, nor do I think it is the president's job to help public morale. I can think of many more things to improve the welfare of the American people with $20 million than would be accomplished by seeing Trump at a sporting event.
-
So you want any POTUS to have more of a house arrest?
Another strawman
POTUS is free to roam the nation as he pleases like majority of other citizens.
Another purposeful misrepresentation of what I said. Nowhere did I say anything about restricting his movements. Don't debate me if you can't do so honestly.
-
do you have proof that it cost 20 million for him to attend the super bowl?
I disagree.

So in 1 post you said that he shouldn't attend the Super Bowl. Then when I called you out on it, you said "that's not what I said". Now you repeat how the money was wasted, which means he shouldn't attend the Super Bowl.
This is what happens when you don't just admit that you were wrong when you said he shouldn't attend the SB.

Hahhahahaha. Here's 1 tactic, lets see what others emerge since you are once again wrong.
-
do you have proof that it cost 20 million for him to attend the super bowl?
That is what I heard reported in the news. As I said earlier the number might actually be quite a bit lower since some associated costs, such as salaries, would be paid whether they went or not. Even if the attendance only cost $5 million I do not think that is a good expenditure of taxpayer money.

More lies. You conflate "shouldn't" with "not be allowed"
Look up the definitions of those words and come back when you understand the difference.

Nice trying to move goal post.
You still didn't reply to what sporting events if any are allowed or what other types of activites should the POTUS be allowed to go to.

Past few days the fake news has been spewing Trump will cut medicade. He is stopping the fraudulent money going out, not reducing benefits. He even stated this in interviews. Jill Tokuda also spoke about this lie spewing. And she wore pink to the State of the Union address, when she voted to keep men in womens sports. She also had some constitutional things written on her coat. Barf.

Pro-Hamas leader who graduated from Columbia University and is a permanent resident alien is in the process of being deported. His status is being revoked and the fake news is saying his 1A right is being taken away. Even though his coordinated "protest" are not peaceful. They ban other students from attending classes or buildings.
I talked to a guy who's the same resident status and asked if he would ever join a militia as some think the 2a relates only to militias. So joining 1 would allow him to have the 2a right. He said he cannot because it could be looked at as going against the government, which is not allowed for a permanent resident alien. And he could be deported.

This is a very sticky case that I think has a good chance at going all the way to the supreme court because it walks right up to the line in terms of government blocking free speech. I hope the government has a very strong case with good evidence otherwise this really looks like a president trying to dictate the speech of immigrants.

JD Vance has used words like Idiot and Hitler to describe Trump in the past.
He said “Mr. Trump is unfit for our nation’s highest office.”
Now he sings Trump's praises....
But specifically to answer your question, here is one example.
“Judges aren’t allowed to control the executive branch’s legitimate power,”
I could be wrong though, maybe he never had credibility on constitutional issues

Why is he wrong? If a judge can issue an injunction on an executive order, then where is the separation of powers?
Judges would be usurping the power of the executive branch if this is allowed. Liberal judges would be blocking GOP executive actions and vice versa.
Only the Supreme Court has the power under the Constitution to decide if an executive action is unconstitutional. Lower federal court judges are there to apply the law, not interfere with the president.

The president is not superior to the judicial system, if a judge could never block a presidential order this would effectively remove a major check and balance inherent to our system. Blocking unconstitutional orders is exactly what judges are supposed to do.
The landmark case Marbury v Madisen held that the SCOTUS is an appellate court meaning they review decisions by lower courts. Marbury did not win his case in because he went straight to the SCOTUS instead of a lower court even though in principle they said he was right. This is the way it works, a lower court blocks a presidential executive order, it get challenged up the chain and sometimes ends up at the supreme court.
Lower federal court judges don't only apply the law, they also uphold the constitution. Republicans had no problem with this system when lower federal court judges ruled against Biden. Only now when this system is not going the way they want do the cry foul, complaining about a judge blocking the president. I used to think we were better in part because we were the party of principles and rule of law but that is obviously a lie, we are a party of conditional values, praise the system when it works for us and cry when it holds us accountable.

So wrong, especially after the SCOTUS reaffirmed a president can't be charged with crimes pursuant to his duties as president.

This is in the Hegseth thread, but the fake news is now saying there wasn't any target location specifics. So now changing the story to a name of a CIA agent in the area was in the chat.
THey're also going hard after Heg as he is the most threat to the left. Even though he never started the chat. But this is how the fake news operates. So many too blind to see this and blindly believe any story they see on TV.

So Canadians are avoiding US travel destinations beacuse their government has issued a travel advisory about coming to the US due to the tariff war. I thought travel advisories were for dangerous things like storms, terror attacks, diseases, etc...Seems like Canada government is using their citizens as pawns.
Many are avoiding Vegas. I'm part of a few Vegas groups and many Canadians have mentioned they are skipping a trip to Vegas. Unknown how many are legit or just spreading propoganda. But Vegas international travel this month is down about 20% so far. They didn't release how much is from Canada only vs other countries.
This is sort of good news for the long term. Vegas has become very unaffordable for the middle income and below. With less visitors, the immediate loss is employment. But the long term is the hope that prices will fall due to trying to cater toward the OG vegas tourist market, which was every income.
I talk to people who work in Vegas and they still haven't recovered since precovid days. The days of making on a slow night for bartender tips of $400 are gone. Now an average night in tips is $75. This is even during F1. Vegas does show profits, but it's due to the gambling. Whales are still coming and losing big. But other income makers like bars, restaurants, retail are all down still.

Fail! Go read about Marbury V Madison. This doesn't even have anything to do with being charged with a crime, a judge put a block on Trump's order, he didn't charge Trump with a crime.

i never said the current issue had to do with a crime being charged. i merely pointed to the precedent that protects the Presidency from judicial interference.
Try again, Sweet Pea.
There are 2 methods the co-equal branches can use to stop an executive action. SCOTUS can decide it's unconstitutional and therefore unenforceable, and Congress can impeach him.

Saying that a president has immunity to being charged with crimes related to official duties has no bearing on the judicial system "interfering" with executive orders.
Lower courts can block executive orders, and the president can challenge these rulings up to the SCOTUS who has the final say. SCOTUS is an appellate court, this is the way the system works.
Suggesting only the SCOTUS can rule on presidential executive orders is short sighted because it would be unworkable. SCOTUS hears around 90 cases a year. Trump has in 3 months issued over 100 executive orders. Saying only the SCOTUS can hear these cases would create a system where the president could get his way merely by overwhelming the SCOTUS. Based on averages that could mean 5x the work for the SCOTUS.
As I illustrated to you earlier, republicans had not trouble getting lower courts to issue orders blocking Biden's executive orders.

You're saying you don't see lower court rulings canceling out executive actions as interference with executive authority?
Good to know. Is that for all Presidents, or just this one?
Should a Hawaii court be allowed to block any executive action they don't agree with? All it takes is a judge who doesn't like Trump.
And if the SCOTUS doesn't think a lawsuit against the government has merit (as in doesn't represent a constitutional question that's not already decided upon), there should not be an automatic speed bump set up to halt an executive action. SCOTUS will hear matters of executive importance very quickly when time is of the essence. The injunctions have nothing to do with constitutional overreach. It has to do with political jockeying in the courts. Period.

Interfering? No, because you are using slanted language. If a cop arrests a protester who breaks the law is the cop "interfering" with the protest?
This is the court doing their job the way they are supposed to. You can disagree with the reasoning of the judge but this is the way the process works to resolve legal disagreements.
Is it for all presidents? Do you not remember when Biden's order to forgive student debt was blocked? It didn't start at the SCOTUS.

Cops are not presidents. Different rules apply.
If the courts were truly doing their job, it wouldn't be so obvious that these lawsuits are only being filed in courts with left-leaning judges/Obama & Biden appointees.

I didn't use the cop analogy in regards to process and rules, I used it to explain how you are using the word in a bias slanted manner.
Forum shopping happens on the left and the right. Again, you complain about it now that Trump is being challenged but I never recall you complaining when we use forum shopping to fight a 2A case or to block loan forgiveness, etc.
Here is the bottom line, forum shopping has a downside but it is perfectly legal, hence it is not interfering with the president's authority. Again, this is how the courts work, a case is heard at a lower level then it can be appealed all the way up to the supreme court.
Anytime any side attacks the checks and balances in ways to try and give the president more power that is a problem because that is eroding away safeguards from tyranny. The judicial branch is the most trusted out of the 3 branches and the attacks on the courts launched by both the left and the right risk eroding that.

You left out the part where the parties to the lawsuit are the only ones provided the remedy if one is ordered. Look at the anti-gun rules by the ATF.
only those members of the organizations bringing the lawsuit were included in the ruling -- not all gun owners nationwide. Yet, courts are issuing nationwide injunctions against Trump. 30% of all nationwide injunctions ever in the history of the US have been ordered in cases against Trump's administration. Lawfare is real.

i don't think you understand checks and balances. You don't use them to attack other coequal branches. You use them to correct wrongly initiated actions by another branch. In this case, they are attacking Trump by saying he's acting as a racist, even though it's within his constitutional authority.

Courts can issue nationwide injunctions. Imagine if you had a patent infringement case. If courts couldn't issue nationwide injunctions that would mean you would have to file in evert federal district, all 92 of them.
Maybe 30% of all nationwide injunctions ever in the history of the US have been ordered in cases against Trump's administration because Trump is doing improper/illegal/unconstitutional things at an unprecedented rate. He has signed executive orders at an unprecedented rate, of course you are going to see more challenged.

You repeatedly miss the fact that the SCOTUS is an appellate court, they hear lower court decisions. Putting an injunction against an executive order is how they correct wrongly initiated actions by another branch, that is the process. Things don't have to go straight to the SCOTUS, I already showed you how this would not be a workable suggestion.
How is someone using district courts to "attack" another coequal branch? Because some judges called Trump a racist? Trump has no grounds to stand on, he has a long history of "attacking" the courts.

Tarrifs are against Australia which these islands are a property/province of.
Just like the uninhabited island of Ko'o'lawe is being tarriffed as it is part of the US.
Not fake news but simply irrelevant.

The fake news and liberals are running the story that Trump is crashing our market. At first hey reported taht Tesla stock was down due to the "boycotts", but they failed to report that most stocks are down. Now they're reporting stocks are down, but left out international ones too. China's market has been down for the past week or so too.
So it seems like if Trump is the one causing all of this, it's in each countries best interest to make a good deal. And make one quickly.

NPR ran a story on how the admin is looking to replace Pete. Again, Pete is the focus for some reason. The WH released a statement that that's not happening.
NPR claims a "source" told them this.
I just so happen to listen to NPR this morning and they stated that conservatives are blaming tranny's for the Tesla damages. I've never seen 1 person blame that community. I have seen them blame liberals/DNC supporters, etc...And I have seen 1 tranny damaging a Tesla.
I guess Tranny's are out of the spotlight for this moment and create a reason to be back in discussion.

i didn't think Teslas had actual trannys.
Teslas do not have traditional transmissions; instead, they use a single-speed
automatic transmission that allows for efficient power delivery from the electric
motor.
This design eliminates the need for multiple gears, as electric motors provide
maximum torque at low speeds.

i guess the Tesla transmission could identify as a traditional tranny.

I tune into NPR every now and then in the car to see what BS they're spewing now. Today, it's about a smugglers boat and the captain abandoned ship. THey didn't say how. So the people being smuggled were in charge of piloting the boat and called for help. NPR said that they think that the responding fishermen were probably afraid of helping because they didnt' want the Greeks (closest nation) to think they were doing the smuggling.
It's almost like NPR is an entertainment source of stories and not news.

NPR said that they think that the responding fishermen were probably afraid of helping because they didnt' want the Greeks (closest nation) to think they were doing the smuggling.
It's almost like NPR is an entertainment source of stories and not news.
In the 1990s, when CNN Headline News aired on cable non-stop with a repetitive 30 minute show containing the top stories (hence the name "Headline News"), everyone was hooked. No matter what your schedule was, you could tune in and see the top stories at that moment including politics, sports and weather. If you missed something you wanted to see, just wait 30 minutes and probably get a chance to watch again.
Then they went to a full 24/7 CNN programming effort where they offered full length stories and discussions. The problem they discovered is there's just not enough new stories of interest to fill a 24 hour news cycle.
So, they started interspersing segments that were more opinion or non-news content to fill in the day for those who didn't want the same stories repeated every hour. Ted Turner labeled the channel "Infotainment" to describe the merging of news and non-news content in order to fill up a 24 hour broadcast day.
Unfortunately, people have gravitated more toward the entertainment segments, which quickly became the primary source for their "news."
Once FB and Twitter became massive, it was reported by studies that most people received their daily news content from social media as more people totally abandoned the Main Stream Media newscasts.
In order to compete, news agencies have to offer infotainment in some form. If they don't, viewers/listeners will turn elsewhere.

Every one of those Dims need to be charged with violating the Logan Act.
They did more than just discuss issues with a foreign leader to get their perspective.
They actively advocated that a foreign government act in opposition to the US President's directives.
The Logan Act is a U.S. federal law enacted in 1799 that prohibits
unauthorized American citizens from engaging in correspondence
or negotiations with foreign governments regarding disputes with
the United States. It aims to prevent individuals from undermining
U.S. foreign policy

From what i read, there have only been 2 people charged under the Logan Act since it's creation, and none were convicted.
Kind of comical that the Left was screaming for Logan Act prosecutions whenever anyone else, including Trump, talked to a foreign leader, but then they actually violate the law themselves, it's not a problem.

They're now reporting that RFK is making people register who have autism. And comparing it to Jews registering and how the gov will go door to door to detain people with autism. Locally and nationwide.
Nevermind HI has registration for all legal gun owners. It sounds like then parents for autistic people should take up the 2A. But now they're in a registry too.
What they're leaving out is how else does one track if artificial dye's are the cause of autism? My friend does medical data and and is a Brandon supporter said this isn't the only list that the gov keeps to track data like this. So it's nothing to him and his field. With the stats he sees, he's on board with RFK.

The CDC tracks all kinds of diseases based on doctor reporting. One reason is to identify who might be at risk of contracting diseases such as HIV and other STDs. During COVID, people being quarantined were required to provide the names of people and places they might have come into contact with others.
New stats put the prevalence of autism at about 1 in 28, with the risk of a child being diagnosed with it at 1 in 36.
While autism isn't contageious from a communicability perspective, it can be hereditary.
Autism may be influenced by genetics, with studies consistently demonstrating
a higher prevalence among siblings and in families with a history of autism.
This led researchers to investigate the extent to which genetics contribute to
the development of autism. Numerous studies, including twin studies and family
studies, have estimated the heritability of autism to be around 80 to 90%,[3]
indicating that genetic factors play a substantial role in its etiology. Heritability
estimates do not imply that autism is solely determined by genetics, as
environmental factors also contribute to the development of the disorder.[4]
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heritability_of_autism
In short, there's a valid health concern with allowing people with undiagnosed autism continue to go unidentified, and those who are diagnosed providing more details on their living environment including the foods they and their parents eat.
We don't know what we don't know. Gathering metrics is always the best -- and often the only -- place to start. If nothing else, diagnosing a child with autism can help parents, teachers and other kids adjust their expectations and behavior around someone with autism.
I recently re-watched The Accountant. The movie delves into the degree of functionality someone on the autism spectrum may exhibit. Some will require professional help to do daily routine tasks, while others may just need routines which can help manage symptoms.
Autism takes on many forms, but if there's an environmental factor (i.e. food dyes) that increase the frequency of diagnoses, it's worth implementing.
I think gathering medical info to combat a disorder is no different than gathering race, ethnicity, gender and habits (smoking, ...). If it helps prevent or diagnose health problems, it has a valid purpose.
-

I have a saying, if the fake news is saying it's bad, it's probably OK.

It's not kidnapping when you're detained for suspicion of a crime.
It's a good thing the judges can't continue dispensing their activism from the bench while an investigation into their alleged crimes is conducted.

I guess NPR wants their money back. This morn had 2 stories out of the normal.
1 was about Israel and Gaza and it wasn't pro Hamas.
The 2nd was about the positive thing that Trump tariff on the film industry if they leave the USA. They interviewed a director for the Lincoln Laywer series and he said in LA, half the studios are empty cause people film in other more friendly states or overseas. Georgia (state) gives a 20% tax credit to film there. And if you put the peach in your end credits (their state fruit), you will get another 10% tax break. Productions are going the way like car manufacturers in CA. Leaving slowly due to all the taxations.
I had to double check that I was on the correct station cause this was highly unusual reporting.
When I was working at the bank, Lost was filming and we would get homeless looking guys cashing checks every 2 weeks for like $2K-4K. At first we were suspect if the check would clear or not, but over the months, we saw more and more of the same checks from all types of people. Most over time would then begin dressing nicer and weren't homeless anymore. And these were entry level jobs like man power stuff and they made good money. So no education and probably criminal background OK. Then came HI 5-0 and same type of checks and people coming in to cash them and turn around to looking not homeless anymore. We would ask them what they did for Lost and the homeless type guys would all say the same. Man power to move stuff around.
I didn't read the film industry bill this session, but too bad they killed it. Filming in HI does bring jobs and good paying jobs too. Then add in SB401 and there's no film industry exclusion.

Violent against the police?

Don't charge a line of police protecting the capital building and you won't get tear gassed, seems pretty simple to me. Not like these people were just standing around peacefully and police came out unloading on them.

They were incited by those attacks on them - WHICH WAS THE WHOLE PURPOSE - of the provocation. Video clearly shows this. Fire point blank into a thick, hemmed-in bunch of people and they will 1) try to get out to avoid being severely injured, as they are ducks in a barrel, and 2) will want to rip your throat out. So that is what the capital police did.
Next, in order to achieve the objective of charging them with illegally entering the Capital, those same vermin police opened the building and took them on a guided tour of it.

To CNN ....
Tell us you were wrong/lying without telling us you were wrong/lying.
Trump’s egg price fiction has suddenly become reality <<===
For months, President Donald Trump has falsely claimed that egg prices are
tumbling. It wasn’t true then, but it’s true now.
Egg prices fell 12.7% last month, the biggest monthly decline since 1984, the
Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Tuesday. And they could continue to fall this
month, too: The USDA reported last week that a dozen large white-shell eggs
now cost $3.30 on average, down a whopping 69 cents from a week before.
https://www.cnn.com/2025/05/13/business/egg-prices-trump-inflation
That's so funny. The prices were coming down, but demand was not being met because of shortages and businesses stockpiling to avoid future increases. Any shortage is an opportunity for retailers to continue charging more than what they pay wholesale.
Just like gas prices in Hawaii, all it takes is a small spike in oil prices for the price at the pump to start climbing, but it can take weeks or months after the price of oil drops for prices at the pump to follow suit. It's a fact.
https://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/2023/04/05/hawaii-gas-prices-remain-high-amid-soaring-profits-us-oil-companies/

I have friends in other states and they've seen the gas prices go down. But the station that I go to here hasn't changed since of end of last year. I wonder if other stations have gone done significantly yet.

I am not going down the rabbit hole of wild conspiracy theories because it never ends, there is always another deeper theory behind it. What happened at the capital building with the clashes is pretty standard confrontational protest type stuff we have seen many many times in recent history. Note that I am not saying the police didn't do anything wrong, there are many times police respond to riots in ways that are improper or counterproductive. I am sure there was room for improvement in the way they handled the situation but I do not believe it is the case that the crowd was just standing peacefully at a distance and obeying the instructions of the cops then the cops randomly started throwing flashbangs and spraying the crowd.
On top of that, even if the cop is somehow abusing his power you don't then go assault, you retreat, get a lawyer, and sue the crap out of the department. It doesn't justify running in to beat up the cop.

Ah - you used the term “conspiracy theories,” which actually means that the information provided screws the shit out of the hive narrative - hence in hive-speak it is required to default to a “conspiracy theory” - so no need for me to get all habut!
Just like, if I take the view that my physical being does not exist primarily as a receptacle for whatever big pharma needs to inject into it in order to make next quarter’s financials look good, in hive-speak, I’m an “antivaxer.”
Hope you’re not planning at some point to use the phrase “A man can have a baby” in a post >:D

Fake news popping up on my feed: "Trump wishes the best for Biden's health, but did he mean it"
-
South African President visited the WH today and when the subject about the white African farmers was brought up , he didn't believe it.
This has been going on for at least over a year. So what did Trump do, he brought his receipts. He showed a vid in front of everyone present. S. African pres was speechless.
Either he knew about it and lied or has poor intel.
Similar like to what the CCP is doing to Muslims in China. Crickets on the fake news. But here in the US or other countries, Muslims and illegally entered Muslims are protected much more. The fake news bows to the CCP.
Notice how the "refugee's" from S. Africa are families and not majority military aged males. Same with Ukraine refugee's, mainly women and children. Compare this to the Afgan withdrawal mess up which was mainly military aged males.

Now if you would have said “George Clooney could have a baby….,” - my first thought would be, well yeah, maybe.
But I still say a man can’t have a baby.

I know where someone here gets their "debating" practice from. The fake news today said the video shown to the S. African president was fake. The reply from the WH was no, it's not fake and asked why the fake news thought it was fake.
The fake news reply was "because it is". At no point did the fake news state any other reasoning besides "it's fake". I mean, had they said "this vid is from X country and not S. Africa" or "This vid is CGI". But nope, all they said was "it's fake" because they deemed it so. I'm surprised they didn't move goal post.
Independent journalist have been covering this for at least a year now with video proof. Why the main stream media didn't cover this more shows their agenda. Same fake news is silent about Islam in China.

The View showed 2 very short clips from that meeting and called Trump's allegation that White farmers are being murdered a conspiracy theory.
They never played the evidence Trump had the African President watch. I wonder why?
i think in court that's what they call "suppression of evidence."

I'm glad that you clicked on the link to show that EEF didn't post a credible like like how I assumed. And even though "assumptions are the mother of all f-ups", I was correct in this situtation.
InB4 EEF states that he never specified if his link was to show or reduce credibility since he just wrote "(regarding credibility)" and left out good or bad.

If I am making the argument that there is a genocide in South Africa then hold up a photo as evidence but it is later found out the photo isn't from South Africa then my credibility is hurt. I think this hurts credibility. To give Trump the benefit of the doubt I think some air probably gave him that and he believed it was an accurate photo but it still doesn't help inspire confidence that he knows what he is talking about. The existence of a genocide against white farmers in south africa is already highly debatable so holding up fake evidence doesn't bode well for the argument that there is.

Just a few news feeds today stated that Elon is leaving because he's hitting on both the POTUS and VP's wives and they (trump/Vance) both want him gone.
The fake news used the ole "a source tells us"...
What would have been more interesting if they made up a headline like "Trump doesn't know how to deal with a person with Asperger's".
Dealing with someone on the spectrum has it's challenges. But being on the spectrum doesn't give them the right to be an a-hole or giving into what ever they say like it's word of god.
They may not advertise that they're on the spectrum or even be aware of it. But it's easy to see the signs if you know what to look for.

You are too short sighted and interested in defending Trump.
Most Americans don't deep dive into these issues looking for all the nuance and reasonableness. If the average voter sees Trump hold a photo of Congo and said it was South Africa they are going to think it looked dumb of Trump. They aren't going to go asking who gave Trump the print out or all these other things, they are going to see the story and judge it on its surface.

One of the biggest reasons people seek full time employment is the benefits including medical insurance. Prices for healthcare keep going up in part because free government healthcare enables beneficiaries to pay for services without having to kick in for the costs via premiums, reasonable co-pays and annual deductibles.
If you can get what you need from the government, why work?
Those who need the help should get it, but those who refuse to work but can should not be carried by tax payers.
Medicaid and Medicare fraud schemes pop up all the time, milking the system of billion$ per year. It's in part because the government hasn't implemented sufficient safeguards to identify and stop these rackets. i saw a documentary years ago of how one doctor kept shutting down his bogus practice and reopening over and over again under new names. By the time the government spotted the scam, he'd folded his tent and moved on. He was basically scamming Medicaid by enlisting illegals out of work. The illegal would claim to have some ailment the doctor decided on, then file claims on the patients' behalf and giving the patients a portion. In the end, he was making millions per month with hundreds of bogus claims each month.

Eliminating Waste, Fraud, and Abuse in Medicaid
Under the Biden Administration, States and healthcare providers were
permitted to game the system. For example, States “taxed” healthcare
providers, but sent the same money back to them in the form of a
“Medicaid payment,” which automatically unlocked for healthcare providers
an additional “burden-sharing” payment from the Federal Government.
Through this gimmick, the State could avoid contributing money toward
Medicaid services, meaning the State no longer had a reason to be prudent
in the amount of reimbursement provided. Instead of paying Medicare rates,
many States that utilize these arrangements now pay the same healthcare
providers almost three times the Medicare amount, a practice encouraged
by the Biden Administration.
These State Directed Payments have rapidly accelerated, quadrupling in
magnitude over the last 4 years and reaching $110 billion in 2024 alone.
This trajectory threatens the Federal Treasury and Medicaid’s long-term stability,
and the imbalance between Medicaid and Medicare patients threatens to
jeopardize access to care for our seniors.

Funny how Green is also silent on how the state is exempt from having to pay for health insurance like everyone else. The law states an employer can only charge their employee 1.5% of their weekly wage for medical insurance. So someone who makes $1K a week, that's $15 a week toward their medical. Yet the basic plan the state offers is $800 for a single person.

I have a few friends on FB who are reposting a story about Trump removing the ridges from the quarter.
I would assume it cost more to make these ridges as when the die gets dull, they have to replace it sooner than a di with a smooth edge. I could be wrong though.
But the ridges are old school when quarters/coins used to be solid silver/metal. People would use a knife and shave a sliver off to keep for X reason. Thus coins would get smaller and smaller and not hold it's true value. So the ridges were put on so one could easily tell if anything was shaved off.
The left is still looking for any reason to bash Trump. What they don't realize is if he didn't have good morals, he could do what ever messed up thing he wanted to do cause "fuc* it, they're gonna talk bad about my decision anyway". They have set the precedent.

The reason you gave dates back all the way to the 17th century in England before the US was colonized. Once the US Coinage Act of 1965 was passed, the metal composition of coins no longer makes clipping the edges worth the trouble even if the ridges are removed.
After 1965, in order to save money, they saw no real reason to change out the existing machinery since the ridges caused no issues.
Assuming machines are at end of life and that newer, more automated minting machines are available, maybe it's time to consider a redesign,
There is still one reason to keep the ridges. They help the visually impaired tell dimes from pennies and nickels from quarters. I think one thing that could help the visually impaired is have the Braille for each denomination stamped on the front and/or back. It could be easily incorporated into the design without too much trouble, and it would be more specific than having the ridges alone to go on.
Braille for the 4 denoms would look like:
01 => ⠂
05 => ⠢
10 => ⠂⠴
25 => ⠆⠢

Now the fake news for the past week as been blaming the GOP for the shutdown as they "control" the votes. Many DNC politiicans posting on how it's the GOP's fault their constituants premiums are increasing a lot due to the open enrollment for 2026 happening.
If no bill was signed yet, how can premiums increase and it be the GOP's fault? Are all insurance companies automatically increasing premiums in case the bill passes as is?
The ACA screwed me. Prior to it, I was paying about $88/mo for years with Kaiser. Then the first year it increased to $242/mo. Then to $800/mo the next. So in 2 years of the ACA passing, my premium went up 10 fold. Keep in mind I was single and in my 20's with no health problems.

To pass the budget, the Senate requires 60 votes in the affirmative. Normally, a simple majority is needed to pass a budget, but in this case, the Democrats are preventing cloture, which allows them to filibuster and prevent a vote on the bill.
There are only 53 GOP senators out of 100 seats. Seven Democrats need to side with the GOP as a minimum to get pass cloture and onto the actual budget -- more would be needed should any Republicans go over to the 'Nay" side.

That's what the DNC politicians and others are leaving out. Then they began to shift blame to the GOP and how the DNC cannot support the bill cause it's bad. They dropped the "GOP has control" topic.

That is an option -- do what the Dems did in the Senate when they couldn't get a bill passed.
I feel like Trump is enjoying the power to terminate more unnecessary gov't employees this shutdown offers.
if this lasts into next year, we may have the first balanced budget in 25 years.

My FB feed is filled with DNC reps posting on how its the GOPs and Trumps fault for the shutdown and increasing medical prices.
Add in ICE being blamed for doing bad things.
It seems like good ole FB is back at it.

Unless FB resumes censoring conservative/GOP supportive posts, i'll give them the benefit of a doubt.
Free speech means protecting the right to say things that people don't like. That applies to both sides of the political coin. It's when FB uses a 2-headed coin that we have to worry.

I don't get it. Without anything other than what you see on your individual timeline only proves you know a lot off people who share it, giving FB an indication that those people and their FB friends like that type of content more than other types.
Maybe you need a better class of FB friends? What I'm saying is, I assume most of your friends and family are Democrats given your state of residence.

99% of my friends are here.
None of the "ads" on my feed are reshares or likes by people on my friends list. FB and IG shows this if ur friend liked/shared.
Many are from other states dnc congressmen that have nothing to do with HI, so its not a demographic thing (refer to above abt friends being here)
Ill even get articles on my feed from conservative news or post that are 2-3 days old. Dates are shown when the post are created. Compared to the above thats same day.
I have deleted most of my friends who have TDS as all they repost/share are TDS stuff. I got tired of it coming on my feed.
Im no social media expert, but what im saying is the increase is out of the norm.
You can chose to believe/show its another factor, but i dont.

FB algorithms don't need your friends to like or share something for you to see it in your timeline. Being friends is a big factor, but not always the one with the most weight.
There are so many factors that go into what ads you see including what things you've marked as having some or no interest in.
If not mistaken, many ads on FB are sponsored, meaning someone paid them to make sure it gets views. Maybe it's as simple as the Left spends much more $$$ on FB for their marketing than the Right does. The Right doesn't think they need to market their ideas as much as the Left, since the Left has a hard time competing with opposing ideas.
Facebook uses your likes and follows to target ads to you.
Sometimes, the increase in ads is simply because you match a particular demographic that advertisers are targeting. Your age, location, interests, and even your job can make you more valuable to certain advertisers.

I have a Facebook channel, but I don't post any gun stuff on it. Many of my former co-workers and relatives have severe TDS. it's kind of amusing to see the kind of stuff they say.

Facebook, Reddit, Google, etc are deep state mind control software.
They use “nudges” in order to herd people into ideological concentration camps.
A lot of us were really displeased when Trump cozied up to them recently, because we knew the knives would come back out as soon as it was convenient for them.
