I am very curious to watch how this split between Musk and Trump will affect the MAGA tribe, who is going to take which side, how is it all going to play out.
Either way though, the twitter battle is really heating up and is quite entertaining!

You're also part of the MAGA tribe and you didn't post which side youre taking. But instead wonder about others. Guess we still cannot expect you to make a firm statement.

I am part of the MAGA tribe? News to me.
I don't really take "sides", I am not very tribal and I don't care much about tribal loyalty. I go issue by issue rather than toeing the line.
In terms of Musk's criticism of the BBB (big beautiful bill) I agree with Musk because I am a fiscal conservative.
-
I recon it's all theatre.
You can tell because of Musky dropping the Epstein stuff.
Anyone with a pulse knows that the deep state would have already destroyed DJT with that, if there was any conceivable (or completely inconceivable) way to do so.
I think that was the tip-off actually.
Securities laws are nasty when it comes to corporate insiders and their conduct relative to shareholder interests. Lot's of people have lost a lot of money on the Tesla sellathon, and Musky must be getting a lot of heat.
Time to abort the love-fest, and the split has to look aggressive and deep, etc.
Picking on the big beautiful bill was the perfect lay-up.

There's a lot of things that is "news to you".
Definition of a tribe per google.
"a social division in a traditional society consisting of families or communities linked by social, economic, religious, or blood ties, with a common culture and dialect, typically having a recognized leader."
I assume you don't want a bad economy (economic above mentioned). So yes, you are part of the MAGA tribe. But if you do want our economy to crash and many people to get screwed in the process, then I was wrong about assuming you want our economy to do well. You could have instead used the words "MAGA supporters", but chose to use the word "tribe" for some reason.
Also, even though it says "typically having a recognized leader", Trump is POTUS and the leader of our country. But "typical" doesn't mean 100%. So you meet the above qualifications.
I knew you didn't have a side. I wanted to show your lack of it again and how predictable you are.

Musk isn't wrong. But in context Trumps name was named for things, but not the pedo stuff. This was already covered years ago and the fake news ran with it until the truth was discovered and it was nothing like usual.
You are correct, had Trump been with Ep doing pedo stuff, it would have been released years ago and he would have lost support for his elections.

You calling me MAGA makes no sense after Flapp saying I have TDS multiple times. You guys need to coordinate your messaging a little better.
No one wants a bad economy so by that definition democrats are MAGA too. If you are saying that anyone who wants America to be good is MAGA then sure, almost everyone is MAGA, but the phrase is synonymous with Trump. When I use MAGA I am referring to the Trump tribe, not merely anyone who wants America to be good.
I used the word tribe instead of MAGA supporters because there is a split, people who supported both when they were together now have to pick the Trump tribe or the Musk tribe.
You say I don't have a side as if it were a bad thing. I wear it like a badge of honor so thanks for the complement. I am not as prone to the cognitive dissonance and mindless cult following that others are. Facts don't have tribes.

You assume that if the files contained Trump doing pedo stuff it would have been released, that is not a statement of fact.

You thinking that me and Flapp "coordinate" shows once again you're wrong. You're not being very "objective" as someone can suffer from TDS or be part of the MAGA tribe. Refer to my economy example. MAGA tribe was your word not mine.
I know a bunch who want a bad economy, so you saying "no one wants a bad economy" shows how you're wrong again today.
You seem to be fixated on the word "tribe". If you have a mental thing that prevents you from letting things go, then I apologize for my remark about you and the word tribe when Trump supporters or MAGA supporters is much more accurate. Or if you're trying to use the word "tribe" again so you think you're not wrong for saying "MAGA tribe", then you aren't fooling anyone. Maybe it's a combo of both the mental thing and trying to backtrack.
I'm sure you think many things are an "honor" in your mind.
-
You assume that if the files contained Trump doing pedo stuff it would have been released, that is not a statement of fact.
It's called logic, which by your post shows the lack of. It isn't hard once you let your ego go. For years, the fake news have tried to make a story out of anything and including making stuff up.
What you're asking me to do is have the security clearance to read all the unredacted files to see if Trump was in there and there was talk about him doing pedo stuff. If you think that I have this type of clearance to make a statement of fact, then you are wrong as I am not in the government or associated with it who have access to the files.
-
If I had to pick a side, I would choose musk. He's better than trump.
-
I recon it's all theatre.
To what end though? Stocks in Musk's companies have taken a dive, Musk is being touted by democrats, the spat could cost Trump in congressional races, etc. I don't see how it would make sense to just be a show.
-
You thinking that me and Flapp "coordinate" shows once again you're wrong.
::) That was a joke.
You're not being very "objective" as someone can suffer from TDS or be part of the MAGA tribe. Refer to my economy example. MAGA tribe was your word not mine.
You are using MAGA to describe a different group than I am. That is fine as long as we understand how we are using the terms otherwise we end up talking past each other.
I know a bunch who want a bad economy, so you saying "no one wants a bad economy" shows how you're wrong again today.
What Americans want a bad economy? Anarchists?

I am not "fixated" on the word tribe, it is a word used to describe a specific thing within psychology and sociology. I use the word repeatedly since the discussion is about tribal behaviors. I say MAGA tribe because I am referring to a specific group of people. If I only said "tribe" then you wouldn't know which group I was talking about.
You seem fixated on the word tribe if you are taking issue with my use of the word, maybe you don't understand the concept of tribalism?

No, its more like confirmation bias, you like that conclusion because it supports your support of Trump.
One could just as easily argue it is logical that the officers who know the contents of the Epstein list are honorable employees and wouldn't do anything so illegal and/or unethical as releasing confidential information.
It is perfectly fine to say you believe that Trump isn't mentioned as a suspect because you believe someone would have leaked it but it would be factually incorrect to say it as a factual statement. Your belief isn't illogical or even unreasonable, in fact I considered the same angle but it isn't some proof Trump isn't mentioned in any way negatively.

If I had to pick a side, I would choose musk. He's better than trump.
Same.
There is a fair amount to criticize about Musk (drug use, questionable fathering of his children, etc) but I think Musk is much more honest, principled and less egocentric than Trump.
-
So Elon implies Trump is a kid diddler yet he continued to work with and praise Trump, but he’s “principled” 😂
-
Good job Brystont1 cutting to the chase here about the core nature of this “sudden and Irreconcilable” rift.
It’s not plausible in the ordinary course of things.
Musky knew about hideous Epstein things in Trump’s past, but was happy to be point man for Trump? Always goin to the ice cream parlor and sharing a sundae, all lovey dovey hand in hand?
Then all of a sudden Musky is recoiling in horror that his BFF was Epstein’s assistant crack whore?
Not plausible = theatre for Musky to work his way out from being a political target of virtually all the people who buy Teslas. He needs a big shaft of daylight running through there.
Anyway, speaking of megalomaniacs, Musky had ZERO to economically gain by assuming the outsized public role in DOGE, but he had much to loose business-wise. Being a megalomaniac cost him. He’s not as good at it as DJT.
-
Unsurprisingly the two leftists on the forum chose Elon. I never trusted him to begin with.

Yeah. He’s a bit of a karma chameleon ain’t he.

We have seen many dnc supporters who wanted trump to do bad in his 1st term and then supported all the bad decisions brandon did when he took over. They arent anarchist.
For the 2nd part, re read my post. Its very clear. Thanks for playing.

Re read every fake news post and discussion here about the weaponized doj. We covered this already.
Does elon hold the clearance to read the unredacted report?
Thanks for playing and not admitting u are wrong again.

Putting aside for a moment the discussion of whether incriminating info vis-a-vis Epstein exists, but hasn't been used, etc., I'd like to focus on the "tribes" concept as it applies to supposed followers of politicians, etc.
Constitutionalists, or Conservatives (a corrupted term in my view), or Classical Liberals (a term from when "liberal" was derivative of liberty), are inherently ANTI-COLLECTIVE and anti-personality cultists.
The extent to which they support an individual politician varies in direct proportion to how they perceive that individual's belief in, and support of, the tenants of human liberty and associated principals with respect to government, as so well articulated in our Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights and similar writings.
So we overwhelmingly evaluate political positions based upon how they square up with those beliefs, however vaguely we may understand them.
Those folks wearing MAGA hats are overwhelmingly NOT TRUMP ACOLYTES, as leftists believe (because they themselves are highly collectivist in mentality). They simply perceive him to have picked up the standard of their values and advanced it back into the fight, the first such politician to do so since Regan.
Perhaps tactically, this anti-collective nature puts us at a bit of a disadvantage relative to collectivists. This is on perfect display right here in Hawaii in the 2A fight, as we bunch of fiercely passionate individuals, united by these shared values, are facing off against a collectivist machine, organized from the top down, from DC right down to our friggin neighborhood boards, well funded all the way (most likely in good part with OUR money).
On the other hand, our advantage lies precisely in those shared values and our understanding that we must fight to preserve them. That's why, when we show up, it's plain to see that we are literally every kind of American you can imagine.
All this is just to say that we do not pledge allegiance to any man, ever.

People tend to forget that Trump had the most successful reality show on TV for many years. He knows what people watch.
The "feud" has caused many progressives to do a 180 in their opinion of Musk, which will increase his stock values and stop all the anti-Tesla craziness going around. Distancing himself from Trump will demonstrate how shallow and stupid the Left is in general as they migrate back to Elon just to oppose Trump.
How many times does Trump have to manipulate the media's narrative about him before they figure it out?
-
This feud is stupid and is going to hurt everyone in the mid-terms which currently is about dead even if Republican's stay in control. Trump matured a lot in this second term with staying focused on getting things done, showing leadership, and not getting into petty squabbles. He's reverted to old Trump.
Elon made big sacrifices in the elections and for Doge that he didn't have to. He took a lot of heat for the Federal cuts he made and increasing the budget is a slap on the face. However Elon should recognize that a lot of the debt is due to the tax cuts where at least it's better to return money to the people than have government squander it. And that cutting the budget too severely will make it difficult to pass the budget and win the midterms.

Musk goes republican and supports Trump.
Trump has Musk do Doge.
Left now hates Musk so picks on Tesla and Musk.
Musk job at doge comes to an end.
Musk hates Trump.
Left now Loves Musk, (still hates Trump).
2 of the smartest and richest guys in the world playing Trumps 4-d Chess and the left is just eating it up.
LOL

Musk got a mysterious black eye and all of a sudden turns on MAGA.
Lots of other mysterious black eyes showing up on celebrities and politicians just before similar bizarre behavioral changes.

It takes humility to apologize publicly like that.
Richest and most intelligent inventor of our time doesn't mean he's flawless.
Engineers are usually the worst when it comes to getting along with others.

And now Musk and Trump are at it again. Musk has said he will start a new party and fund primary challenges to those who voted for the bill. The Epstein issue was brought up again and Trump suggested turning DOGE on Musk and brought up deportation. That could legally backfire on Trump and Musk's further political involvement could undermine some of Trump's efforts.
I don't know how much success Musk will have starting a new party but I wish him the best of luck.
