I've pretty much built a Glock with no Glock parts.  I think the only real Glock parts are the extractor and trigger.

I know someone that had bought about 10 or 11 guns in a two or three month span. He also has bought larger amounts of ammo at different times and has a decent sized "stock pile". No knocks on the door that I know of.

Thanks. Well I took a trip down today and talked with them. I'm very surprised everyone I talked to was super friendly and helpful. Because its an old case they are trying to find the report(s) and said they will contact me in a few days. They were able to pull up all the sn#s for firearms that my father registered, so evidence is looking to see if they have any of them in there. I'll let you guys know if I am able to get it or any of them back.

I'm also sure some people in the mainland would do an even trade for the mags. Try arfcom or GT. But if you are military, I'd just keep them in a quite place and pick up another 10 rounder.

Thanks for the reply. With some luck I'll be down there soon. I don't know how I could go about getting the report as it was over 20 years ago. Im kinda doubtful, but it would be nice to have that gun back.

Is it possible to get a firearm that was confiscated from my dad  back from HPD?
It's been about 20+ years, my father pass away and he claimed he bought that rifle for me. If I remember correctly it was taken away when he and a friend were shooting milk jugs off the back of the boat. I've thought about this off and on for a while, but never knew where to start?

I'm sure it's posted some place, but I'm getting ready to fly my phone across the room. My friend is going to be moving back home. Can someone point is in the right direction on what he needs to do to get his guns here. Thanks in advanced.

Talk to Carter at OGC. He will probably have a better deal for you than buying and shipping. Just my $.02

I do and have bought quite a few cases from him. But I had to see what it would cost. I still would of saved a few bucks if I did it, but for me it was not worth the hassle.

Ren, got a link for cmp?
Last month I went to CA and NV. The plan was  to ship to my friends house in Vegas, drive it to CA and drop it off at the docks. I was going to order a bunch of cases of surplus 7.62 and some other stuff for a friend.  I got a quote from the same guys OGC uses (I forget what it was off hand). But it came out to just barely less then what I pay OGC for a case. So I didn't do it. But I guess if you can get enough people and a big enough order it might be worth it?

I've also looked at having a case or two sent to another friends house and having him ship it FedEx. But getting info from FedEx on the process is a pain. I went down and talked to them, he said he could not give me the info I need. I need to call the mainland and be on a PC while talking to them. he also felt the need to mention to me that he is a hazardous material shipping specialist, but is not allowed to tell me how to do it...

It's an AK, of course it still shoots. I cleaned it up and sprayed it with dupli-color. Btw the pictures above were after the second or third attempt. As you can see I didn't even get a chance to get all the water off before the rust would start to show up.
Good question on the park, I was under the assumption that any coating could be stripped and recoated. For all I know I could of done the procedure wrong? But I would like to think I can follow basic instructions.  The original finish was real rough. I picked up two and they looked like they went through a war (they were military training rifles). I'm keeping the other in it's original condition.

Some of the rust that would show up quickly.

I wish I didnt do it, I would rather of kept the original finish it had.

.22, 9mm, .40, 7.62x39 & 12g. I regret getting involved with 9mm stuff. I spent too much on it for "practice". Now I  practice with .22 and the 9mm ammo is there "just in case".
