There's a grid on the application where you list the handgun/handguns you are begging permission to register.

Thanks bro! :shaka:

It doesnt specify about handguns. I know for long gun permit you can buy as much long guns as you want for a year, but what about handguns? Can i buy multiple handguns with one handgun permit?

General Discussion / Re: OGC Tactical FFL transfer

It's up to the seller.  Some online sellers provide a certain number of days after package receipt to inspect the firearm.  If it's the wrong one, is not as described, was damaged in shipment, etc., they will work with you to replace it or issue a refund.  If you notify them after that inspection period, they may not accept returns.

The number of days usually ranges between 3 to 5 days -- enough time to make arrangements with your FFL to inspect it and provide notification if there's a problem.  This is especially important for handguns, since it'll be sitting at the gun store for weeks until you get a permit.  If it's damaged when you pick it up, you'll want to know if it arrived that way or if it happened during the 2 week wait for a permit.

Depending on who's working and what day it was delivered, the employees may not immediately notify you it's ready for pickup/inspection.  If your tracking history says it was delivered, don't wait for a phone call.  Just go on down to the store.  Sometimes they get busy, people are out sick, or they might believe someone else already called you.  That's happened twice for my transfers.

You have the most to lose if the store doesn't notify you promptly.  Therefore, it's better to be proactive than to wait for a call after you know it's been delivered.

Thanks for the information.

I'd recommend you fill it out and do the "check out" process for each shipment you are having OGC transfer.  That gives them a heads-up to expect your firearms.

Sometimes they get boxes and don't know what they are until they get around to opening them -- maybe a day or two later.  That delay could cause problems for you with a 3-day inspection policy if you are notified on the 3rd day after they sign for it.

Communication is a good thing.  If you have tracking info, you might want to email it to them as well, especially if there is more than one package.

You can confirm this with OGC, but this has worked for me.  The easier you make it for them, the better your chances of avoiding delays or problems.

What is the three day inspection policy? I just purchased my first rifle and got it sent to ogc after doing that online check out thing on their website. It was delivered there last friday according to the tracking number and i still haven’t heard anything from them.

Its a temp check and questionaire. Its done on the registration side so if youre going to the main station to apply for a permit, go to the line for registration first before going to the permit office.
