The owners of VISTA outdoors has announced an AMMO PRICE INCREASE effective 4/1/2026. This is due to the fact of the price of raw materials etc etc etc. i have noticed some of my “mainland” sources have already increased their prices by about $20.00 a case for 9mm (the brands and grain i like).
The upcoming gun show should have good pricing since they would have purchased “BULK”.

Did you know that Hawaiian Airlines just updated their policy on weight limit of ammo? it was 11 pounds but now is following Alaska Airlines and is allowing 50 lbs....See attached

I feel very sorry for the shooting that occurred in the recent incident on Maui - A prohibited person that was able to obtain a "ghost gun" and EXTENDED (aka illegal") Magazine.
Now Yesterday, there was a shooting at a school in Minnesota. I felt "compelled" to look up what the Gun laws in Minnesota is:
Minnesota's 2025 gun laws feature expanded background checks for all firearm sales, including private transfers, an Extreme Risk Protection Order law, and restrictions on firearm access for domestic abusers. While a permit is not required to purchase rifles and shotguns, a permit is needed for handguns, which includes a background check. Additionally, new legislation requires all law enforcement agencies to log firearms used in crimes into the national eTrace database
So what i'm asking, Do Gun laws actually work? Remember now, the gun doesn't kill people. People kill people.... People have died from Stabbings, muggings, car accidents etc.
What will happen going forward is the LEGAL GUN OWNERS will again have more of their rights "restricted", to create what i believe to be a "false" sense of "security". The bottom line is the real issue(s) never is addressed: Mental Health?
Just my 2 cents...

I have flown the following airlines with Gun(s) and Ammo
Delta
Alaska
Hawaiian
Southwest
Pretty much what Flapp said is the same. HOWEVER only one DELTA i have had to pick up my gun case/luggage from their baggage office. Also now 2X they have TIE STRAPPED my luggage before handing to me.
BTW all airlines EXCEPT Alaska (Must be Alaska controlled flights and NOT their "contracted carrier) restricts Ammo to 11LBS.
I Flew interisland recetnly with ZERO issues on Hawaiian.

Personally, i don't know Chief Logan:
In Reality, being a "blue state", even if the chief was Pro 2A, it would be "political suicide" With that being said, and the statistics etc etc etc, who would like to be the "whipping boy" or Girl, be "micro managed" etc etc etc.
What does the bible say? He who is without sin cast the first stone.....
I think we should all "wish him the best".,.

Just checked in at Portland airport. No issues with 11lbs of ammo. Didn’t weigh or inspected. Just asked if boxed and if I had locks for my pelican case. Aloha

Usually when flying Hawaiian, i have TWO pelican cases inside one suit case. One for firearm (Pistols- 1 or 2) and their mags. The other is for the ammo im bringing back (7 boxes)
When flying back to hawaii, Hawaiian 9 out of 10 times will require me to weigh the ammo to show them that it's under 11 lbs.
Also note, on my last trip, i brought back a complete UPPER for my AR-15 (In a seperate pelican case). That was an experience since it had to go to a "SIDE" TSA Screening area.
Usually no issues with Hawaiian.

I can't wait for them to investigate why it takes 120 days for the CCW process. among other things......

I wanted to share the following with you (In case you are going to do a PTA) On March 27 (Thursday) i went to HPD to do my PTA for a new handgun. As i always pre-fill out my forms, At 8;30AM, there was NO LINE. I was in and out in less then 5 minutes! Aloha!

When i saw the news, i just was so "upset" that they would interveiw Chris Marvin....He REALLY doesn't know what he's talking about.
As WE all know, the LEGAL gun owners wont be involved in any of the recent incidents...too much to lose!
Plus what does LEGAL gun purchases in Hawaii have to do with anything? Like the recent shooting in KALIHI...16 yr old arrested...OMG: They aren't even of legal age to own or posses a gun...Well all of the LAWS being or trying to be passed will always be AGAINST us legal/law abiding gun owners....
Remember, Hawaii is a BLUE State and NOT Fully apart of the other 49 States. Hawaii picks and chooses when we really want to be a part of the United State of America.
Couple of thing i would really like to see that would be :impactful:
1) of the Registered Gun owners in the State of Hawaii, how many of us commit some sort of crime?
2) What is the amount of guns legally owned that are reported lost/stolen
3) How many registered guns are found to be used in Crimes within our State
I see a lot of knife and other dangerous instruments used...

So if your on Oahu, Costco has a NEW Warehouse/Showroom at the former Sear's Pearl City Distribution Center.
Seem COSTCO LOGISTICS (I think Island Movers) is there.
You can go to the show room and they do have gun safe(s) on display
You order online and request delivery.
Also "hawaiisafes" in Mapunapun has a showroom and delivery serice.
