Don't that just make you want to run through a few boxes of ammo...

Dry fire instead and send what you'd spend on ammo to the HDF.  :shaka:

I did not mail them to myself, bought them with C&R, brought them in.
Most states you can't buy pistols without local I.D. AFAIK.

Just a follow up for anyone searching in the future. Took 2 pistols in, gave the "out of state" acquisition statement, did the gun-reg paperwork and usual 30min thumb-twittle and was outta there before the end of my lunch break.

I donated on behalf of SurvivalHawaii.com.

I also want to give $1 for every "Don't Tread on Me' shirt sold on SurvivalHawaii from now till it's won. We don't sell a ton of shirts but i hope every little bit will help.

So I am in AZ right now and thinking of picking up a couple C&R pistols form a gunshop here with my C&R license. I am a Hawaii resident though. Can i do that and bring them back to hawaii w/o "permit to acquire" as i own them out of state? I Dont have my hunters ed or handgun safety in hawaii yet either.

Hope this can be cleared up, thanks.

Dregs,

we will be shooting video of a friends set up this weekend, look for that sometime next week!

I'd like to get something set up here, once i can scheme how to do it cheap enough for my blood!  :D
I'm not going to do it untill i get my head wrapped around how to do it cheap, here, and easily replicate-able. I go nuts when some one is like well "here's my inexpensive set up, some one gave my this gigantic aquaponics system and i found an old pool pump in my back yard, see it's cheap!" For me it has to be off the shelf stuff or stuff easily found locally, so long story short: I'LL WORK ON IT BRAH!  :shaka:

Thanks for the plug.  :D

I think a good deal of the guys hanging out on 2AHawaii may have already seen me blabing about survivalhawaii.com but always appreciate good words!  :shaka:

I got lots of love for this site, get a lot of my info from here and i think that "shall issue" for CCW in Hawaii is important, even if i don't talk about it as much as I should on the page.

Anyway, let us know what you'd like to see on SurvivalHawaii.com we put out podcasts generally once a week, always looking for topics to have waiting for us so if there's something you'd like to hear discussed we might not know everything but we'll do the research and would love to hear from you!

Our focus is getting the survivalist out of the shadows, make it more open and friendly. I know the need for OPSEC and all but In Hawaii, shootz, survival with aloha guys! We are at big risk here but no reason to be all humbug 'bout it.

Kinda basic info, but we got some great links to building DIY rain catchments and water filters along with a great resource for getting LOCAL seeds for that garden on the cheap.  :shaka:

Let us know what you think!

Hey Dave. If you can, could you introduce yourself here? Just curious to know more about you and the site. Read the bios but they were rather small. It appears your site has been online for about a month or so am I correct?

Anyhows, glad to see what you got there man! I always have an off and on kick in starting some sort of container garden. I live in a quadruplex with no lovely yard or balcony. Just cramped indoors.

My parents on the other hands already have a garden. It uses an irrigation system we put in years ago and it's holding up nicely. Though they pay someone to pick the weeds and maintain it.

Hope the forums on your site kicks off!

Well I found 2aHawaii a few months ago. I pop over here for info every few weeks. I have a 3 mo old son at home so with this, and all my little projects, time to post over here and any forum is limited. I work with, Matt the guy I started the site with, so that's how we know each other. I got started with guns late. I was 26 when i first when shooting and will be turning 28 at the end of the month. But man, i caught the bug bad!
I'm a big time 2a head really push for CCW shall issue and love firearms. Matt has yet to even fire a gun... yeah I know, I keep pushing him to come with me to the range. Time heals all wounds right?! We'll get his mind strait.  ;)

Speaking of that I will be at the KHSC range tomorrow Saturday May 14th, probably around 10:30a and for at least a few hours, let me know if anyone wants to meet up. I'd love to grab some photos of 2aHawaii members and their guns for our Facebook and SurvivalHawaii.com! If you are going to be over there shoot me an email at SurvivalHawaii (at) gmail.com!

Personally, I really believe that that a person with the will to gain knowledge and build community, a rifle in hand, and a bag of seed to grow their own food, is a person who will be able live free and will be able to become self sufficient through all things. That's my goal and the message that i want to share.

Mahalo for the interest guys, be sure to let me know if you're going to be at the range tomorrow! Hope to see you there!
-Dave

PS will be working on the forums sometime soon, got lot's of fun stuff waiting in the wings for everybody.
