Our (Colorado's)  socialistic legislature and socialistic Governor Polis have made concealed carry law which is SO OBVIOUSLY in violation of the Second Amendment it's ridiculous.  I've mentioned several times in several places that I think legislators who propose and pass laws that are patently in violation of the Constitution should be civilly and criminally (for perjury) liable for violating their Oaths of Office immediately after the Supreme Court declares them as such.

Mixing it up dry in a ball mill (glass jar with a shaft on the lid plus marbles) works OK for experimental amounts, and it will go bang if it's confined.  But it just fIzzes when burned in the open.

"Corning" is the process of dampening the mixture so that the KNO₃ dissolves slightly and thoroughly and intimately coats every tiny particle of charcoal and sulphur,  After it's dry, you can break it into suitable granules, and this "corned" powder is what goes FOOM in the open.

I leave the legalities to the law types and the knowledgeable BP  shooters.

I leave the problem of scaling up from the glass jar and marbles setup to the individual's engineering skills.

Do not use or have nearby any steel or iron tools or anything around when messing with BP.  Commercial powder MFRs had special bronze and brass implements where needed.  Also be Aware of static.

Ccws have been issued in all counties. Honolulu (Oahu) was the last.

Idk abt islands though, like were any issued on molokai which falls under Maui county.

Those Inventors of our country, in common with other writers of the time, liked to preface their concepts with the "reasons" for their words, that is, "preambles."  Therefore, we have the Preamble to the Constitution ("...in order to form a more perfect Union...") and ithe old "When in the course of human events..." which started it all.

Hence, this Preamble to the BOR spelled out "why."

And those words, as well as the main body of our Constitution, form the highest law of the land.

And don't you forget it.

I sorta left 2ahawaii dot com because it became evident that my plaints and pleas for a strict reading of the Second Amendment were to no avail.

I am disappointed to see that the "line at the HPD" thread was STILL near the top of thread postings. Seems to me that's a clear infringement (oops!) restriction on the right to keep and bear arms.

To me "furniture" is/are the bits and pieces like butt plates, barrel bands, patch boxes, etc. that are not wood but are not part of the actual firearm.

So I don't know what you were sanding when you say, "... but in my attempt to remove the mold stains from the furniture I sanded too much so the lines no longer match up."

Did you mean "remove the corrosion" from the metal furniture?

I was also wondering if you could find a serial number. and how the bore looked.

The guy's a self-righteous jerk... not uncommon in progressive-thinking individuals.

However, this bit in the cited article stunned me:

I understand that I may be offending members of my community, but this is a human issue, not a gun owners issue, or a second amendment issue, it is about humans. I cannot, in good conscience, accept anyone inside of my restaurants who believes that this is ok. Love is love, and only light can drive out the darkness.

Except the "darkness" to which you refer is universal in the form of the evil predators to which I referred.  And in insisting that we ban the tools to resist this evil, you are naught but abetting it. 

I would be ashamed, as a parent and a human, if I did not use this platform to speak up.

Somehow, I am reminded of Prime Minister Chamberlain's claims of  "Peace in our time" in 1938, a year prior to September of 1939.  You remember what happened then, don't you?

Her remarks are so typical of the wooly-headed attitudes of those who have never encountered genuine, hard-core evil and violence in the real world.  As I say, sometimes it takes a good mugging or a good tyranny to wake some peope up.
