Deals and Sales / Re: Why is a $2000 AR better than a $600 one?
« on: February 06, 2012, 08:59:06 PM »
if pro three gun guys were sponsored by marlin they might shoot a 336w.... but since they are sposored by highend ar companies thats what they shoot

also three gun is a sport with definite advantages for  rate of fire and reduced recoil
i completely support anyones right to purchase an ar ant any price

the original post is about comparing  the sacred tiers of ars
how do you quantify the advantages of a $2000 ar vs A $750 ar
the short answer is there are asthetic differences
rifles are made to shoot and if .5 inch at a 100yds is worth  and extra $1000 then knock yourself out

Are you trying to say somebody wouldn't use an AR in 3 gun? Just because marlin gave them money. That's sacralig

Its nice to have the top end gear like the diver that cost more than my entire set bag and all or that $2000 AR. But the clubs don't make the player neither does the rifle. I haven't played in 4 years, and buying a new set of calloways won't make me any better than my old Wilson's will If i played a round tomorrow.

I'm not a fan of the MOA I believe in MOP, minute of pig. I've never had to hit an inch spot on a hog. You may shoot a better round but tiger will still beat you using those mcgregors.

Mustangs and BMWs, just because the rifle will shoot sub moa doesn't mean the guy pulling the trigger can make it. You can buy the same driver as tiger woods but you probably wont make the tour next year.

My brother believes in the AK stigma and went AR in 7.62x39. He had to buy special mags and it doesn't feed well. Don't know if that's what I'd rock at the end of the world party.

Why spend $600 for a AR that's considered a bottom end gun anyway when you can get a AKMS or Yugo AK and know it will always fire every time you pull the trigger and its cheap to feed and when society melts down 7.62x39 will be the most abundant round out there. AR vs AK = AK wins, Red dawn style.
