« on: April 18, 2024, 12:42:28 AM »Remember that after 120 days, it's an automatic denial and you will have to pay another $150 to reapply, take another shooting qualification too.I just read the law. It states if its an incomplete application after 120 days its dead. Could find anything else besides that. Am I missing something? 🤙

I submitted my application in the first week in January, with everything that was needed being the new year. HPD officer that is conducting the CCW applications called me first week of March, and told me my background check was done and good. He said the next step was to get signed off by the Chief of police Its been almost 45 days since my background check was good, and still nothing. I just called HPD firearms division to follow up. Talk about a waste of 7 minutes, listening to long winded prompts only to be told sit and wait from the automated voice. This tyrant police chief is a joke, just like the politicians over here.

We live in a capitalistic society, and I can understand them wanting to push classes for money. As a Veteran I can totally understand Darrens point on Military, we are taught use of force in the Military not state laws for each state. The problem I have is with what Kit said, "a lot of people that got the CCL I don't think they should even carry a gun!" These kinds of opinions only hurt us in the gun community, and you know they will use this against us in the future quoting him. If this is Kits opinion thats fine I totally support his freedom of speech. But I will never spend another dollar in his store. I will take my business else where.

3 guys in front and 3 guys behind. Everyone didn't have up to date paperwork so I was in and out in 30 minutes after submitting my CCW paperwork. Officer helping me was extremely nice and helpful. He said between him and another officer working on the CCW applications there is about 300 applicants that they are going to have to call. I guess if you applied last year they are going to require everyone to get updated Handgun saftey class and CCW training class that has the new curriculum. Sounds like a bunch more hoops for everyone. Get ahead of the game and get your classes done. Don't wait for the call and delay it even longer. Officer said right now im looking at 3 months minimum. 🤙

This guy was bad news from many years ago. He was always being the ref in the ring at a lot of the chicken fights and i'm extremely surprised he has no criminal record. He also into dealing illegal things.

Got there at 6:55 this morning with 18 people in front of me. First guy in line was there at 4:45. Line moved super slow and I got done at 11am. With about 25 people still in line when I left. Guy behind the desk with glasses was super nice. Wish we had more state employees like him.
