I purchased mine earlier this year, probably on the recall list. Did my own work on my trigger. Did the bump test, safety on/off, bolt slam etc., all the required checks after doing a trigger adjustment like on the earlier m700 triggers. Didn't know about a recall until today, but read about problems about the m700 triggers from way back when. Do what you gotta do. I don't think I'll be sending mine back though.

General Discussion / Honolulu Firearms (Magnum Firearms)
« on: January 24, 2013, 06:56:20 PM »
Has anyone purchased any firearms from Honolulu Firearms? I've been in the store and noticed they have a lot of military/ LE firearms in stock. Other stores has almost 0 inventory. I was browsing around looking for a non military type rifle, was almost completely ignored. Just curious, been in there a few times, seems like they still have old stock from Magnum days.

Firearms and Accessories / muzzle brakes

How much of a factor is the construction of a muzzle brake to be effective to reduce recoil and muzzle flip . I see muzzle brakes with ports on the top and side of barrels, and some has ports completely around the barrel. Does it make a difference?

Firearms and Accessories / Re: Midway won't ship a red dot to Hawaii

It has been stated in this thread that this change in shipping behavior has only started recently.  It's also been explained that the reason why they didn't ship it is because the package contains lithium batteries.  So unless red dot gun powder comes with lithium batteries, i don't think it's the gun powder.
Roger that. Thanks for the clarification.

Seriously man?
I've had no problems ordering red dot optics from MidwayUSA, that's including batteries, that's why I'm curious, red dot optics, or red dot gun powder.

Just curious, we talking about red dot as in optics, or red dot as in gun powder?

I ordered red dots from midway in the past with no problems. Your order probably included ammo, which is another story.
