I'm in the same boat. My Mesa safe came in and it's 550lbs that needs to go down a grassy hill. We are scheduled to move it tomorrow morning at 5am cause I don't want my neighbors to see it  :D

We were planning on laying plywood down and rolling it with a push cart that's supposed to carry 500 lbs. however if it rains all night we might just drop it in my old bedliner out of my truck and slide it down the hill. We have 3 guys (hopefully) because 2 of us loading it at Home Depot with no forklift was a bit of a stretch  :wtf:

Security Equipment Corp. / Still an American Security dealer?

I remember in the early 2000's, I bought a safe from you guys over the phone and you guys dropped it off at YB and it made it's way to me on Kauai. I noticed on the Amsec site they don't have you guys listed as a dealer anymore? Or is the site wrong? I will be in Oahu next week and am in the market for another safe.

Great reply from today's edition of the paper.

I predict at the prices they are selling them for, the people will vote with their dollars. And they will sell on Kauai.  When I looked last they had Adams Arms for $1299 and Stags for $799 if I recall. Also they had Springfield pistols and some SigSauers. It was really crowded so didn't get a chance to look at the other stuff. It's a good thing grabagun beats all their prices and has better selection and my FFL is cool with doing $25 transfers for me all day long.

We would probably be considered armorers of 3rd world countries' militaries

Wanted to add: Case in point using myself as an example, while cleaning out my closets I found 2 battle packs of German surplus 7.62 and 2 battle packs of Remington 7.62 ball! WIN!

Does it work on centipedes?

Good idea on the 91% alcohol, I guess I should use that instead of the chlorinated Brakleen cans, LOL!

Nothing special just my first AR.

Got it from grabagun and it was supposed to make it here by the 24th but we all know what happened with Fed and UPS.

Just picked it up today from my LGS it's a LE6920 with Magpul furniture.

Yeah I'm glad I caught it halfway then watched the rerun last nite..  I was hoping the Big Island boys are not that territorial. Hehehe

I have yet to actually go hunting here on Kauai but friends and co-workers are hardcore hunters..  No where near that kind of drama around here. The biggest thing is poaching on other people's leased pastures..  Sure as hell wouldn't warrant a warning shot being fired over their heads..

But I hope they don't get cancelled they got some ivories on those boars!

More than likely the motor will come with the regulator/cable assy. When I changed my mom's regulator cuz the window fell out (2001 Grand Caravan) the NAPA guy said I can buy just the regulator for like $90 or get regulator w/ motor for $110. Since you're in there I would just change the motor IF it adds only like $20 to the bottom line.

Did not know that about the 6.8 SPC and 300 Blackout all fitting in the PMags.

Thanks! Makes my quest for my first AR even more justifiable  :D

===========================
I have never met anyone that disliked the ferry. Yet it seems like a case of the tail wagging the dog. I was actually booked for a trip back to visit my Mom on Maui when the operation was shut down.
I have no doubt the "old" shipping company had a lot to do with the "problem". I used to ship my cars on the "old" barges and it was a painful and slow process. My pet turtle moved twice as fast as the guy checking the cars in. I had to set aside half a day to get my car on board. I still feel pissed off when I think about it today. Everyone I talk to about this feels the same way.
 :(
Anyway, I love brakleen. FYI- there are 2 types of Brakleen. Chlorinated and non-chlorinated.
Chlorinated is badass stuff.  Kills just about everything, ants, roaches, weeds, grass...your skin...

Non-chlorinated is also badass stuff. I use it for cleaning my brass and ammo. DO NOT breath in the fumes too much. I understand that some components of that mixture can cause heart palpitations.
But I love it anyway.

Only thing I have found that Brakleen does not kill is a cane toad :o

I was in the minority too in that I wanted to see the ferry run but a lot of the guys that were in the harbor here on Kauai blocking the ferry were mainland transplants from the north shore. There were a few local boys in there too but I think they were just bored :shaka:

I saw the one guy letting out air in some dude's tires I would have brakleened his sorry ass :wtf:

Yeah this is such a small (relatively) place (Kauai) post his info so we can call him out. I'm sure somebody on this board knows him. Sorry if it's against forum rules but I hate freakin scammers.

Hey guys I am a newbie on Kauai and I have contacted 3 sellers supposedly on Kauai and asked them to meet face to face and no one answered yet.

I guess Armslist is a joke and glad I found my way to 2aHawaii about a month ago.

To the OP sorry about your loss if it happens to be a scam can you post his info?
