If you are just loading practice ammo then you don't need a chrono. Just diddle with the powder charge until you can bench a fairly tight group.
If you loading for combat competition, then you might need to use a chrono to make sure your  loads make minimum power factor. But if you go too low then the ammo might fail to drop a steel popper target.
If you loading for bullseye competition, then you are shooting the wrong gun.

Haha it will be awhile before I jump onto the 1911 bandwagon.  Maybe when I can start affording 45s

One thing I caught the other day when I was loading a small batch using Titegroup. I opened up my last new bottle of it. I noticed it had a rather large clump which did not break up when I poured it in the hopper. I poured it back into the bottle and shook the bottle (With the lid on LOL) and that broke up the clump. This is the first time I have experienced a clump that didn't immediately break up while pouring it into the hopper. I have been scratching my head over this since it happened since the bottle was brand new and sealed. Powder should not clump. Could that be the issue?

Weird,  I wonder if and how the moisture got in the bottle, hopefully these powder still last a long time.  I don't think that is my issue, I usually slowly pour my powder while shaking it as if i was cooking. 

hello TK30. i bought the lee adjustable charge bar and im having problem with metering specific ball powder getting precise grain like ramshot true blue so i switched with the Lee auto disk. and meter well. im using autodisk also with hodgon clays no problem at all. i will post an update later to try the lee charge bar for clays

Hey mic808,  I'm glad you mentioned that,  I was going to start loading True Blue after I finished my CFE pistol.  I guess it has to do with the adjustable charge bar.  Just one more moving part that adds to the complexity of it.  Are you able to get the exact loads you want with just the auto disks? Thanks!

I am new to the forum and to reloading.  I just started reloading 9mm and 300 blackout for about 2 months now and I noticed that sometimes my Lee Precision Pro Auto Disk powder measure sometimes does not discharge little to no powder.  Most times I'll catch it whether the case has no powder, but there was a couple times I had a squipload at the range. 

Has anyone had this problem before and have a fix for the consistency?  I also use the lee adjustable charge bar instead of the disks.
