I was there yesterday as well. I’m sure glad not to many reloaders here. Got myself some primers and bullet heads. Good to go!

I load .45acp with TiteGroup as well. My own cast and PC 200 grain boolits. I've gotten as low as 4.5g of TiteGroup. It shot great. However, the brass was ejected and rolled out and fell on to my feet. It was also sooty. That's just my experience, take it with a grain of salt. Pistol is a HK45. Maybe the recoil spring is to stiff for a light load.

Submitted my testimony yesterday, link worked like a charm. Super simple. However, my testimony wasn't as long and as elaborate as the ones posted above. Kinda makes me feel like the guy with the small dick in the locker room lol. Anyway... I do hope more people submitted.

I'm a ham operator here in the puna area mangosteenqueen. Contact me sometime if you ever want to get licensed. It's not hard and can be a lot of fun. There are several repeaters on this island, some are linked to other repeaters, statewide/nationwide and some worldwide. It's a bad idea to transmit on ham frequencies without a license, and comes with a stiff federal penalty, but listening is encouraged, and may inspire you to get your ham ticket. And btw... We also monitor all simplex :edit: ""ham"" frequencies as well and also use equipment and technique's to locate a person in violation. If you don't want to get a license but still want to play with radio communication. May I suggest a FRS/GMRS bubble pack radio from Walmart or something. Hope to hear from you.

   Here on the Big Island a pound of TiteGroup goes anywhere from $29-$32. But as the bottle says... "A little goes a long way" lol True Story!

That is correct. Ok to plink, and shoot, non-hunting specific rounds. I also confirmed this with one of the folks that was involved with DOCARE to make this a legitimate shooting area. Good news indeed.

I was up there yesterday to do test loads on various calibers. Just a few guys there all doing the same. Set up my target stand with paper targets on top and my 6" ar500 gong under it at 100yds, set up my pistol target stand with paper targets and 3 plates below, and just had at it. We were all on the same page. Every so often we would all stop and go check/adjust targets and go at it again. It felt great to not worry about having multiple firearms out and also to finally shoot a ton of 22lr I've been sitting on.  Good times for sure. Just thought I'd share my experience I had there with you guys.

No..no farm. Just 3/4 acre near the ocean. I spend most of my free time up in the mountains though. Good luck on your retirement!

Similar situation but not quite. Just for transportation to and from where I shoot here on the Big Island, I asked this question while registering my Charter Arms AR-7. Can I transport it taken down and stored in the butt stock only, logically it's a enclosed container. Answer was a no go. Go figure.
