The three-judge panel that decided Young v. Hawaii is bound by the en banc decision in Peruta v. San Diego which held that there is no right, under the Second Amendment, for a member of the general public to carry a handgun concealed in public. The only courts which can overturn the en banc decision in Peruta is another en banc court of the 9th circuit or the United States Supreme Court. Peruta filed a cert petition which was denied. Therefore, the en banc decision in Peruta remains binding on every three-judge panel as well as every district court judge in the 9th circuit.
I sent an email to the White House asking that...Apparently they don't value my opinion all that highly...
That, and Palestine wouldn't be a threat to anyone anymore. 
But, they don't listen to you and they don't listen to Sergeant Cox either. Sergeant Cox has all the answers...... That argument is foreclosed by the en banc decision in Peruta...
...the state will do everything it can, for as long as it can, no matter how much it costs, to deny Hawaii residents of their fundamental, individual, enumerated, god-given/natural, inalienable constitutionally-protected rights. That's what they do.
Since it's possible that Young could go en banc...
... resulting in likely more years of litigation to get them to actually adhere to the intent of the SCOTUS decision.) But maybe I'm totally wrong and overly pessimistic and the legislature will introduce a bill in a month to establish permitless carry throughout Hawaii. But I don't think so.

Good news, but still probably take another year or two before we can actually open carry legally in Hawaii. Even then most businesses in Hawaii would have NO GUNS ALLOWED or GUN FREE ZONE signs posted.
Anyone can shoot. $6 per round of 25 for non members, $5 for members. Open every Sunday and some Saturdays 9-4, last round starts at 3:30.
Largest shot size is 7.5. Trap usually uses 7.5-8, skeet #9, but the choice is yours. All shells are "target" 2.5". No magnum loads.
Choke is whatever you fancy but skeet, if memory serves me correctly, usually uses imp cyl. Trap, depending on handicap (distance) is usually imp mod or mod for 16 yards, full for any other distance but the choice is yours.
Pump, semi, O/U, S/S, single barrels are fine. 12 ga is max.

Legally you can buy a long gun in any other state as long as it is legal to have that particular firearm in your state of residence.
So if you were so lucky be a resident of Commiefornia, you couldn't purchase a standard AR anywhere in the country (unless you spent the extra $ to have it configured CA legal, but why waste the money)

Interstate Gun Sales
Federal law for interstate gun sales and other transfers – those occurring between two people who are not Federal Firearm Licensees (FFLs) who live in different states — is pretty straightforward. A person who is not an FFL cannot acquire a handgun from anyone – an FFL or any other person – who lives in another state. A person (the “transferee”) acquiring a long gun must do so through a licensed dealer (FFL). It can be an FFL in any state, the transfer must comply with the laws of the FFL’s and the transferee’s states.
To begin the transfer process for a long gun acquired interstate, the transferee must fill out a form 4473 which requires identification information and requires the transferee to answer questions stating that he or she is not acquiring the firearm for someone else (other than as a gift), and that he or she is not prohibited by law from possessing firearms. It’s a federal felony to provide false information on a form 4473, so read the questions carefully.
The FFL then calls the FBI or a state law enforcement agency, depending on the state in which the transaction is taking place, and the transferee will be screened through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System and, in some states, state databases of persons prohibited from possessing firearms. Once the check is completed successfully, usually a matter of only a few minutes, the FFL may transfer the firearm.
The only exceptions relate to things like gun repairs. If you need to send your gun out of state to an FFL manufacturer, you can so do directly without going to a local FFL. That FFL manufacturer can also send your gun back to you directly.
Check out the Gun Show this weekend--there will be a lot of rifles and accessories available. If you find something you like and it's in your price range then buy it. Don't make the mistake of walking away thinking you'll be back later to buy it--odds are that someone else will spot it and buy it out from under you.
I'll have some ammo and a NIB 6920 for sale. There'll be a lot of used rifles for sale, but unless you know what you're looking at/for, I'd recommend sticking to new guns (at least they come with a manual).

I think AERO PRECISION should have a mention here. I have found it nice quality at a economic cost. And yes the colt is also good.
you wont really know exactly what you want in an AR until you shoot it for a while and get to know what you want and what works for you
you can always modify your AR later too

Depends what is your primary purpose for it. Close quarters shooting, plinking, highpower rifle, precision rifle, hunting, self defense, etc.
Nevermind I see target shooting. I'd go with a 16" heavy barrel which is better for precision and also helps with accuracy standing. Chrome lined barrels are good in that it's easier to clean and long lasting. I think most low cost AR15's nowadays shoot great.
If you have never shot a rifle before, I suggest you go to the range to get some coaching, take a class, and find out what kinds of things you want in a rifle.
Questions to ask...
Buy local or internet?
If internet, what FFL to choose? (http://fflgundealers.net/transfer/hawaii/)
AR-15 or 300BLK? (This is less of a silly question than you might think.)
Iron sights or scope?
If scope, how much to spend on a scope because anything less than $100 is a waste of time?
Picatinny hand guard or keymod? (I definitely rec a free floating hand guard.)
Other than that, welcome to the addiction. It's like black tar heroin. Once you get that sweet taste in your veins, you can never have enough (apparently).
