I found a link for a gun mounted video camera in one of the strangest places; a tech blog. Kinda cool none the less. It mounts onto picatinny rails and the HD version will be coming out next month. Visit Tachyon XC for more info.

really cool product.  The thing that kills it for me is no zoom.  I like to see the impacts on the target.  This is great for 1st person POV.  Guys are using these on their helmets while riding motorbikes etc.  Soon you'll see these on the hats of Police officers security guards etc.... there is not limit and with 3d TVs coming out....

Another option is the Contour HD camera. I've been thinking about running this one, and affixing it to my hat. Also it gives more of a 1st person perspective then off the gun.

This isn't me, but another user on youtube who used said camera affixed to his hat.

I can see it used in a Home Defense situation, where in the good guy can show why he was "forced" to shoot the BG.

Practically, this thing would probably be completely useless for me, but I finally went and ordered it this morning. The 2011 Tachyon XC HD with optional guncam mount. I've been kicking the idea of buying this down the road since this thread was posted. lol. For cam, guncam mount, and memory card, it's...pretty expensive. Bought the memory card from Amazon $59. Tachyon charges $119 for the same thing.

It's freaking waterproof to 100ft without having to attach it to anything. It's got a freaking guncam mount. Or you can strap it to anything else that's round or flat (your noggin). I'm really excited!! Just got to think of things to do with it lol.
