There are tons of "instructors" out there. You really have to check the credentials of those you choose to take classes from. Experience with firearms doesn't mean they are qualified to teach the skills to others. In this case, it's obvious that the "instructor" had neither.

What's up with the begining comment "oh the irony"?  Is this a news report or an op-ed?  Or did the victim say that?  Sorry for the guy that got shot, and this is a good lesson to learn on the importance of muzzle control and firearms safety rules, but also a lesson on how so called news is failing to un biasly cover incidents of interest.
