No, I don't have to follow him.  He comments on almost 95% of the threads here, and half of them are sarcastic, off-topic crap.  Mostly he posts one-word and emoticon meaningless comments just to increase his post count.

He decided to make a point of following me around.  He also posted non-responsive sarcastic comments in reply to legit questions I asked about a Sufefire light he posted for sale.

I'm not going to justify my actions by saying "He did it first."  He's trolling several people here.  THAT'S ANNOYING!!

Whatever dude.  I have seen rude commentary from you in at least six other threads (not related to doubletap but other posters).  Kindergarten was about 20 years ago.  To your credit I have seen a few constructive comments but for the most part they are overshadowed by your other disparaging remarks (yes, even posted barbs at doubletap  in somebody's classified).  Just weak in my opinion.  I thought the purpose here was to have meaningful discussion.   :stopjack:

OP was just starting a hypothetical discussion to see where it went. Interesting to me that no one wanted to agree with his original statement.

If you feel the need to come to the rescue of every forum member whenever you see "rude commentary", I guess you have your work cut out!

No offense intended (or taken).. I only brought up the whole thing because when I first called HPD a while back, I was lied to by the officer; he said that I could not bring my threaded barrels for my pistols.  That is only true if it meets TWO requirements.  When I read the actual law, I found that my threaded barrels were only one of two minimum "features" that would make my pistol illegal.  So if the officer didn't know what he was talking about (no surprise there), or was too lazy to give me the entire regulation, it leads me to believe that there are other laws that weren't correctly explained to me.

The blue light thing for car alarms.. yes, that's exactly what I mean.  Stupid, but we all have to follow the law.

Trust me, the only reason that some laws are challenged (and changed) are sometimes done because someone has read through, and found the wording or meaning to be unconstitutional or irrational.  If we had more politicians that were concerned with the rights of the people, instead of their pockets, I think a lot of laws would be more in tune to peoples' rights and safety.

Yep, they leave the laws up for interpretation which is ridiculous but that's just how they do it.

Before you all reply... re-read the FIRST post I read.. specifically the part where I said I don't intend to, nor have the money for legal reasons.  In addition, I also said I was asking as a devil's advocate..I wrote it to bring up a discussion of how the laws writing needs to be specific, and not so vague.

I already know, so I don't need anyone to keep saying "don't do it".. I'm already ahead of you all.  I'm only bringing it up to show that someone could read the way the law is written (the exact wording), and take it for what it literally means.  Because the law was written poorly, anybody that reads it could determine that they are not breaking the law, simply because of how poorly it's written.  But if someone were to do this, they would be in a world of hurt.

It's just frustrating to have my suppressor locked up, far far away.

Vague laws make lawyers rich... It is unfortunate, but it is what it is.

At least, you get to visit your suppressors once in a while.

We have some vague laws, this isn't one of them - not even close.  It's freaking crystal clear.
