Koko - Can we practice with a holster?

Can we practice with a holster on the pistol or silhouette side? What about pre ejaculation or whatever the correct term is to whip it out of the holster and out and shoot fast?
Google it cause every question is a dumb question.

I don't think so.

Go to Ward to practice with a holster.

Drawing from a holster is not permitted at the silhouette range or the state-run pistol range.  However, it is allowed on the action ranges if appropriate to your club's activities.

2nd question, can we use a sling for our rifles? Not to carry in on our shoulders but to use it to wrap around our arms to steady

My understanding is that the firearm must be pointed down range at all times.  So, I've been told you can bring the gun up as if you've just pulled it out of the holster as long as it is always pointed down range.   True?
