With all the talk of the UN arms agreement that Kerry signed, here's something a lot more insidious along those same lines. Basically it sets up an international court where businesses could sue for damages of perceived future profit, therefore destroying national sovereignty.

So if someone wants to build a mega complex that turns North Shore into Waikiki 2.0 and the locals are against it, no matter how bad the idea is (traffic, sewage, ag land, quality of life, etc) the developers could sue the state into submission. It makes our courts obsolete.

While everyone is arming up with some dream scenario of fighting off foreign invaders with small-caliber weapons Woverines-style, the invasion is already underway. There's more than one way to skin a cat.
