NRA "Banned Guns Raffle"
« on: September 25, 2013, 01:38:25 PM »
Just got my new American Rifleman.

www.nrabannedgunsraffle.org/

Seems the NRA is having a raffle of some interesting rifles designed to piss of liberals.  $5 a ticket for each gun you choose.

I am in for a SCAR17 and a Les Baer Super Match (hey, I am a .308 guy).  I spend that much on a six pack of Kona Brewing company beer..............And doing anything to benefit the NRA enrages those who hate our country.

As well as the several NRA haters on 2AHawaii.

===============================
The Les Baer looks great but the caliber is odd. 204 ruger.
On the other hand they guarantee 1/2 moa on that guy.

A worthy cause nonetheless
I'll go for the r25 in 243 and the sig 22

Just some friendly advice: the contest says no purchase is necessary to qualify and the more you spend doesn't increase your chances of winning.

Here's some better advice:

These raffles are designed to raise money so the NRA can continue the fight against tyranny.

The few dollars spent are going to a good cause.

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

Yeah, we know. Just letting those that think spending more means they have a better shot at winning are mistaken.

I actually donated $20 for 4 picks.

Yeah, thought about it, said what the hell, and sent them another $10.  Not usually a contributor to money drives, but the Obunga supporters here and elsewhere recently have really pissed me off, so this helps.

And, ya never know, might come into a new Tavor or other neat toy.  OK, most likely not, but what the heck...............

I was just wondering, but are any of these guns illegal here? I haven't memorized all the laws here.

No

They're all legal in Hawaii

They are legal here but maybe not some of the mags.
I just got my issue and entered for the Tavor, Les Baer .204 Ruger, Barrett Rec7, and the Rem model 700 .270 which I want to win for my daughter. She got her first Impala with one in SA.
I'm thinking about re entering just for the hell of it. Who knows. Its for a good cause anyway.

I tried to be logical and choose (as if I would win!) only those in a caliber I have now in stock.  Of course, the IWI Tavor I could not resist asking for, as well as the Les Baer.
