I haven't been there since the old management.  Went in today and everyone was friendly and helpful.  Nice to see Honolulu has another PLEASANT Firearms dealer.  I'll be picking up an AMSEC Safe there when funds allow.

Honolulu Firearms ( formerly Magnum ) is under new management now but prices are still a little bit high compare with other LGS. Brian & Derrick were both very helpful to me when I purchased my first AR15 when it was still Magnum.

I like Honolulu firearms. Good guys -- very knowledgeable.  That place is night and day from before.  After I shoot at their range, I usually hang out and talk story for a while.

Nice to hear the new management is making a conscious effort to serve customers.  They really should start a new yelp account for the business and try to distance themselves from all things Magnum:

I'll agree its gotten better.  The last time I wen there, the clerk was very nice and helpful.  He didn't mind just talking shop and showing me things. I recognized him as someone that used to work for young guns. It used to be that unless you seemed like a serious buyer, they would snub you off.

But I will agree that their prices are still way too high when compared to most stores on island.  But for now, they are the only place I know to buy FIREClean locally, so they at least have my business for that.
