Do state owned housing (ie: Kalihi Valley homes) allow firearms? (Read 5086 times)

If anyone can help me answer this question: Do state owned housing (ie: Kalihi Valley homes) allow firearms?  I would be grateful.  Interested in knowing this... I can't seem to find it out, but remember something on TV about a town hall meeting and people being upset.

If they do it might be interesting to begin a "chip away" strategy for escalating legal actions against the State and the restrictive gun laws.....we know the Ninth Circuit wouldn't let SF's ban in public housing stand, and I think there was another successful case in the east coast on the same issue. Might be a way to build the legal equivelent of "street cred" when threatening subsequent actions......

I think your with my train of thought. I mentioned this to someone and he wanted me to send a follow up e-mail.  I remember seeing stuff on the news about it when they did some sort of town hall meeting. I need to get the "rules" or whatever in black and white though.

I need to follow up on this.  If you know someone who lives in a public housing, please speak to them on our behalf.  We would like to discuss a few things with them, maybe even take someone out for lunch or whatever.

We are trying to find out if firearms are allowed in Kalihi Valley (or any other) public housing authority.

Ross, can your friend check their lease to be sure =o? (if they do, I'm speaking with the guys who challenged San Francisco firearm ban).

What I remember is on T.v. last year, them saying firearms were banned from the public housing.

As soon as we have confirmation -- it's on (I just got off the phone with the people who handled the San Fran public housing ban).  Please, everyone, assist me in finding out.

I agree, but like I said what I remember is that a town hall thing they had a year or or so ago, said it was.  Now I just need to find out. I just have to see a lease or a provision. I may end up having to go down there and ask these people about it.

I'm not sure who manages the properties, but they are each ran by their own section.
