Wow... IMHO, this is a worthless piece of legislation.  Lifetime hunting for someone who has lost a leg, or is 60% disabled?  What a slap in the face! 

Why couldn't this have just been for veterans?  That, at least, would both be an acknowledgement of service and have the potential for some practical application.

I guess, at the very least, it gets disabled vets out of having to take a handgun safety class before they buy a handgun in Hawaii.  Still, what an empty gesture to be taking up time in the legislative session.
