Bank robbery turns deadly @ CA

Stockton, Califonia - 3 robbers went into a bank and took 3 hostages with them when they left. During the almost 45 minutes long chase, they threw two of the hostage out of the car.  A 5 minutes non-stop gun fight started after police have the robbers' SUV tire out.   In the end 1 hostage and 2 robers are dead.

I wonder if they will release the information about the gun shot wound on the hostage - AKs from the robbers or pistol/AR from the police.

Another thing I wonder - Are those AKs robbers used CA compliant (such as bullet button? )

And I sure hope this will not happen in Hawaii ........

??? I know that 20/20 hindsight is a wonderful thing but I really would think it was obvious that the police should have backed off in this case due to the hostage.  Look at how they handled the OJ chase and the only threat there was OJ killing himself.  Let the bad guys have some breathing room so they stop shooting at everyone.  It seems like they just decided to forsake the hostage's life and push them hard and fast until a gun fight was certain.  Look at the bullet holes in the SUV, the police were trying to kill EVERYONE in that vehicle.  I am not sure but most of those holes look like entry and not exit holes.

I especially like the part where the spokesperson implies that the hostage was used as a human shield only at that very final moment that she was killed.  WTF, why do they think the hostage was taken from the very beginning.  From the moment the three women were taken, the human shield aspect should be very obvious.

My non-law enforcement two cents.
