Going to buy a Beretta 92A1. Opinions?
« on: July 06, 2011, 01:48:34 PM »
Anyone have anything good/bad to say about getting a Beretta 92A1? The gf liked that one the most at the shooting fair. Stupid me I should've fired it too but didn't. I heard the grip is large on that thing, but I guess it fit her nicely. I'm buying it for me, but that particular model because she likes it. It shall be her gateway drug. /cackle  >:D

Anyhows, any opinion, pro/cons, regarding Beretta 92A1? My work internets block almost anything to do with Beretta, so I can't look up O_o.

I just picked up a smaller frame handgun for the ladies and went with a MP9, it also came recommended by Carter for this purpose.

I don't like beretta. We use them at work, and I don't like the feel, the weight or looks :).

Wow! Looks-wise I always thought they were sexy as hell.

Well I looked it up once I got home hehe. The A1 series apparently tightens up a lot of the leaks of the older models by taking the best of the 92FS and the 90-TWO.

I've been debating heavily since yesterday on getting either the 92A1 9mm, or the 96A1 .40s&w.

I think I'm going with the 9mm. Allegedly, +P JHP is effective and brings it up to par; and it's cheaper ammo so I can use it more often without feeling guilty. lol.

I always that that the Beretta 92 was an iconic gun that everyone had to have, like a 1911. And while I have neither yet, I do plan on picking one of each up in the future. So I say get it :)

You must have only the holster and not the gun for a reason......lol.

There are Beretta compensators for sale online. They really make a huge difference and plus they make the gun look great.

Ya know. I like the way it looks with a compensator, but somehow I prefer the look without. If I like the Beretta so much I buy a second one, I'll probably slap one of those on it =Op.
