Going postal again
« on: April 17, 2015, 01:54:35 AM »
So here is another breach of security. Well what got me thinking about this is the other news of the cop who used his cop car to bang a armed suspect and how people are saying why did he have to do that even?? Wtf have we become as a country of this kind of people? Where did it all go wrong? People in our country bitching about our flag being flown or worn with pride. Wtf is all I can say! I am seriously not delusional in being worried for the direction our children's future will be, definitely not like anything like what we know as america we grew up in. I mean how could it go bad in 1 generation. Idk just some thoughts so what does this have to do with the breach of security at the white house? Consequences! That's what! I don't give a f&€k if you are unarmed. If you come into secured white house space I expect some kind of use of force. There has been 2 recent maybe more situations that has gone unanswered. You don't think the rest of the planet can see this news? What's the word on the street??   I thought without a doubt you go past that gate you get taken out. Now the word is... meeh no big deal nothing going happen. Just thinking out loud sorry. So for now I'll just do me until the time when we all need to do we again just like our great great father's did.

Like I mentioned in an other tread, the lack of real leadership, i.e. the hypocrisy and disregard for law by the leadership of this country while us peons are required to follow it, has caused a major shift toward anarchy.  This has been going on and has been a process for many many years.  I don't think, IMO, that 'it has all gone wrong in one generation', it is now coming to a head though.  Since they claim the current 'leaders' of this country is the brightest and smartest dude to ever hold office, one can only come to the conclusion that this is all by design.

Some general comments-

I have to say that each day I see more crazy stuff on the news and I ask myself, " is the world is going mad?"

Or could it be that with modern technology, all the crazy sh...t is just available for the world to see?
Maybe the world has always been like this, but we could not see it.

Another factor... with modern technology, people do more crazy stuff to attract attention to themselves.

Another factor...copycats. Crazy people see other crazy people on tv or internet and try to do the same or crazier.
There have always been copycats, but the internet has greatly magnified the problem.

I do not see an end to craziness in the near future.
What, Me Worry?

so I not alone in thinking technology has a big role in our kids generation going to shit! I've always said" the smarter our technology the dumber we get." But yes totally agree that technology is somehow playing a roll in this. Funny In my insomnia last night this was what I was pondering.

technology is definitely a large factor in what's going on. "aloha" as we knew it is a thing of the past for about the last 20 years. i used to embrace technology before because of what can be done with it but, have seen what it can do to the personal relationships that we as a society have built on for millennia. now everyone communicates via email, text, etc. because of this, conversations are one sided, uncaring and rude at times. the saying, "say that to my face" does not apply nowadays because people text/email all kinds of crap that they'd never say in person. we need to get back to when relationships used to be face to face.

ever been to a gathering or party and everyone is on their smartphone/ipad? no one knows how to interact with one another nowadays. seems that everyone connects better with a machine better than with real people? they can always control the machine to their needs.

where do we go from here? don't even get me started..........

I agree.
its not technology's fault, its the user that is at fault.

money is not evil, in and of itself.
its the love of money that is the evil part.

the mind is deadliest weapon.
everything else is just a tool.

and I do agree with the OP, that it doesn't matter what the intent was of the pilot of that helicopter.
you breach security at the white house, you should definately go to jail for a very long time.  at the very least.
and i do agree that in the past several years, this country is seeing more crazy crap going on.
more reason to arm myself against these crazy people.
I can't change other people's actions, but I can protect myself against them.  (unless you live in hawaii where you cant arm yourself outside your home)

I agree with the take on technology, it's actually driving people apart. Instead of interacting with each other, we communicate. All the civility and humanity is removed. People forget the societal niceties and find it difficult and uncomfortable to speak to each other in person, easier to just text and not have to deal with it.....

Smart phone, smart car, smart home. People no need be smart. Or so they think.
Gyrocopter boy will get away easy. the feds might make a mild example of him, but he's not South Asian or Muslim, so he'll be out in a couple of years, doing the talk shows and writing a book.
I'm more upset about the wahine who allegedly ran down the motorcyclist in Central Oahu. If the reports of road rage are true, then it's murder, pure and simple. Two-ton SUV vs. 400 lb bike. No chance. Looks like the brake or clutch lever is still in the SUV's grill.
