Please make that offer again in front of a few news cameras at the next gathering, whether it be at a protest or meeting of some sort.  Having it on film and seeing someone choke on their own bullshit would be priceless.

I find it amusing that people feel that they are forced to be American. Last I checked there were no internment camps, airports were open and one could buy a ticket to fly anywhere in the world. The US govt. although not perfect assists people to travel with embassies and passports.
I see that "Hawaiian Hostage" sticker often in traffic and I can't understand it.
The only reason why they feel they are hostages or forced to be an American is that they don't have the courage or intestinal fortitude to leave behind the very freedoms and security America has afforded them.What an irony. No one really knows what it was like to live in the Hawaiian Kingdom but I'm sure they would lack the many channels of voice and opinion we have today.
This is a perfect example of the freedom we take for granted; twist it around and call ourselves victims of some delusional fantasy.

I see people unable to choose from a menu what they will have for lunch.  These and others like them have NO IDEA what to do with freedom.  They are told what to do until they leave high school.  After that, they are lost!  No idea what they want to be.  They only know what their parents and other family and friends do, so they follow in their footsteps.  Work a job, get a check, get locked into a massive mortgage, and then complain about "no freedom".

People in general will complain about anything and everything.  People who experience similar hardships tend to appreciate the same things.

No one made them wear these chains...they chained themselves.

This is probably common knowledge, but I'll say it anyways.  These outspoken groups and individuals do NOT represent all Kanaka.  As far as racism goes,  it was most likely more prevalent in my father's gen and his father's gen from the stories I've been told.  I'll speak for myself, growing up here my family and peers had alot of hate for "haoles".  In turn it grew on me.  It wasn't till I was out of high school that I realized how ignorant that shit was.  Lost "friends" befriending non hawaiians.  My theory is that some don't outgrow it.  OHA, while is does help some... IMO is a corrupted system.

It's a little dated, but I think you will get the picture how some ppl see our history.  *disclaimer* I did not fact check this site, but seems consist with what I've heard and I am not well versed in how this type of shit works.
