http://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/story/30737477/fatal-police-shooting-in-la-suburb-was-different-from-others

armed person roaming the streets, refuses order to disarm by LEOs. gets shot and killed.
family said it was unjustified.  ???

"He was a good father and son. He took care of his children," said Cassandra Howard, who also lives next door to where Robertson lived. "This shouldn't have happened to him. Just like it shouldn't happen to all the others that we see across the United States."

A good father wouldn't do what he did. his "good father" title expired when he recklessly brandished a gun in public.

Sick of this "good guy" rhetoric. Can it be argued that Jeffrey Dahmer was a vegan?

Good guy or not if you go out and randomly discharge your weapon in the air.your just asking for trouble.or getting shot multiple times from police officers.

Quote
Robertson was killed by officers Saturday after witnesses reported seeing a man firing a handgun into the air six or seven times

Quote
The suspect's gun was not loaded, but detectives found two live rounds "in his grasp," Katz said. The gun was not registered to Robertson and has not been reported stolen.

After drinking and firing a handgun without ear protection, maybe he couldn't hear the commands to drop the gun and hit the pavement!

Unfortunately, this story has already gotten as much press and social media attention as Kate Steinle's death.

This was a "good" shoot. It's on film the asshole was still moving and in possession of the gun. He could've turned and shot any one of them as far as they knew.

He made a choice, he paid the price for his decision.

F*ck what the family says.

It doesn't matter what he did up to that point. He refused a lawful order to disarm and surrender and pointed a firearm at police. Not to mention the fact that he endangered people by firing the gun indiscriminately.

F*ck him, I'm glad we don't have to support his sorry ass in prison or pay for a trial.

Feel bad for his kids, they'll have to deal with his POS legacy. What an asshole.

So maybe they should have waited for a confirmed death from one of his rounds fired into the air before taking action?

"You wouldn't even treat a dog like that. You have a human being who's on the ground crawling away, not even firing at you. And yet you still empty your weapon, and he's African-American," Earl Ofari Hutchinson said.

Robertson's aunt said, "the family believes the shooting was entirely about race, and she wants the officers involved removed from the force."

All I can about Robertson is "woof woof". These people won't even let law abiding citizens that pass stringent back ground checks  even get their hands on and own a gun much less walk around the streets carrying one for protection, but they get all up in arms and crazy when an "african america" gets shot by police because he has randomly discharged a weapon in a populated area several times. WTGDF is this country coming to? Robertson deserved to be shot to mitigate the threat he was to the community. Robertson's death is completely his own fault for making the choice to do some stupid shit.

I apologize if my opinion is harsh but after considering the totality of the situation how could anyone ever think that this should have been handled in any other way...Seriouly! :shake:
