Yeah even the super exotic  Steyr AUG magazines will work in a FAL pistol.

Flew in today no problems at all. Told the lady at the check in counter that I needed a declaration form for my handgun. Says ok sign here, tapes it on the box, and that was it. Was never asked to open the case.

Just have a few addition questions now for when I go register tomorrow. I remember reading about it before but can't I can't seem to locate it.

1. Does the case with the firearm have to be in the trunk of the car?

2. Does said case need to be locked?

Does not HAVE to be in trunk, but it's better to keep it there

Does not need to be locked

Wait, how does that work when the  FAL is a 7.62 platform and the Aug is 5.56?  Is that an FNC?  Nvm figured it out, just change out the calibe, 7.62 for 5.56
No one is coming, it’s up to us.

Legislation should never be about depriving law abiding citizens of something, but rather taking those things away from criminals.

We can all agree on one issue...The law is extremely poorly written.
Written by lawyers so you'll need one.

Are there any pure semi auto rifle magazine over 10 rds , that does not have a pistol counterpart?

BAR?
The difference between theory and reality is that, in theory, there is no difference between theory and reality.

BAR?

I knew someone would say BAR, Well to the you the truth . Ohio Ordnance would sell one without a stock if it was special ordered. Thus, technically a pistol version is not avaibale of the shelf at this time.

Good one  Tom.

I'm moving to Maui this summer with a mini-14. As I understand it, there are no Ruger mini-14 pistols so 10+ mags for that are allowed.
Correct?

Commercial variants of the M14 have never been made in a pistol configuration. Same goes for the Ruger Mini-14 and Armalite AR-10B (the B version uses modified M14 mags). FN-FAL's used to count until DS Arms decided to come out with a pistol FAL a few years ago.  :grrr:
