I think not.

It is quite clear what they meant and for at least 100 years after the founding of the United States.   They meant for every able bodied man to be armed for defense of self and country.  What changed and why was gun control enacted...  Simple to keep minorities from being armed.  The root of gun control in this country is to control the poor and colored.  It is pure and simple. 

Think about it. since any type of gun control is ineffective, at best, for stopping crime, why then do 'they' keep calling for it?  ALL ABOUT CONTROL

Criminals don't give a damn about laws.

Of course foreigners don't want us to be armed.
Now let's show that the tweeters of  #NOMOREGUNS and supporters of anti-gun and gun laws have terrorist ties ! 

Having seen firsthand a citizen of a country that has effectively banned firearms for anything except shooting paper and fowl effectively, it seems to me in that particular country, the Govt. has effectively "educated" their sheeple to the point where we Americans simply have no "common sense" when it comes to firearms.

This is quite disturbing to me because this is EXACTLY how the Anti movement has and continues to gain traction, "education".  Some of us may not remember everything we were taught in school but I remember a lot because I'm the offspring of a Vietnam Vet and I did not show ANY shame in that in school.  I was freakin' proud and I showed it to the dismay of MANY of my teachers.  The very same teachers who supposedly teach unbiased lessons in history an politics.

If things continue the way they have been, those "foreigners" way of thinking is going to be exactly the same as the future generations of "Americans".
