I just read on the firearm blog that Leupold was coming out with updates to their entry level scope lines. The best feature IMO is the finger adjustable turrets. That is the thing that annoyed me most on entry level riflescopes was the coin adjustment

Actually after thinking about this, I also remembered that the Nikon Prostaff line also had the coin adjustment. I checked with their website, since they were clearing out some of their old Prostaffs not too long ago, and it looks like they are including fingertip adjustments as well. This was previously only available on their Buckmaster line and higher. Kudos to Nikon as well.

I got to fuss with the new turrets on the Mark 4/6 lines last week.  Turrets will now be exposed instead of covered.  I'm not sure how this will translate down to the lower tier lines, but it's an interesting direction Leupold is taking.  I can see why since the older style can lead to damage.  Also the reticles that Leupold will be using are Horus like (if not actually licensed from Horus).  Interesting stuff coming out this year.

There are VX-I scopes in that lot too. It looks like Midway is clearing out their old stock.
