It is nice, though, to have liberals finally come out against the abuse of executive power, misuse of classified material, and Russians. Welcome to the party, except we know you’re full of Schumer.

It’s all lies, and they know it and we know it. Normal people just shake their heads and wonder why Washington is so consumed with political nonsense instead of solving problems. But then, Washington does not produce solutions. It produces only political nonsense.

This is a concentrated, coordinated effort by elite insiders to take down not this president – Trump’s not the point here – but to take down us, the normal American they seek to rule. Someone came to Washington who wasn’t part of the club, and that’s intolerable. So they are desperate to expel him, and by extension, us.

I have been wondering for months now why Trump isn't continuing to drain the swamp? Draining the swamp would get rid of all these people. At the very least we need the FBI to conduct a thorough investigation into all these illegal leaks. And punish those who are doing this. Until that happens, the "Deep State" will continue to this.

Good point. Unfortunately for Trump, he doesn't have enough time to fully drain the swamp. I believe that's mostly due to the way the Constitution was written with the balance of power between the three branches. About a third of the country is conservative, a third liberal, and a third stuck in the middle swinging back and forth. It used to be (back in the Industrial Age) when regimes can stay in power for decades. Now with the internet, regimes only last two or four years. Obama won in 2008 then lost Congress in 2010. At this pace, I anticipate the same will happen in 2018 at which point there will be no more swamp draining. In other words, he needs to start winning or keep on losing. Blaming others like he did in yesterday's speech is not helping him. The Trump surrogates aren't going to like this, but he needs to make compromises to pass bonafide legislation like he did with the temporary spending bill. As the old saying goes, a good compromise is one where both parties are equally dissatisfied.
