Safest State: Has NEVER required open/concealed carry permits/licenses (Read 4429 times)

punaperson

The number one (#1) ranked "Safest Personal and Residential Safety" state in the United States HAS NEVER EVER REQUIRED ANY CITIZEN TO EVER HAVE A LICENSE, PERMIT, OR ANY OTHER KIND OF PERMISSION SLIP FROM THE GOVERNMENT TO CARRY A FIREARM OPENLY OR CONCEALED IN PUBLIC. How can that be? That fact violates the entire "narrative" (aka lies and propaganda) the Hawaii legislators spew year after year. I guess tyrants never let facts stand in the way of fascist civilian disarmament. Or something.

His comment: "So the one that started "Constitutional carry" tops the list? How can this be?"

No matter what you show to our officials, they will not support the 2a.  Even if aliens invaded and wear reaking havoc, they would say call 911 or release your big dog.

It's not a ranking I would use for CCW testimony as it has a lot of unrelated stuff in it.  law enforcement officers, number of firefighters, elder abuse, drug abuses etc.  A better reference would be a ranking of robberies where it's a violent crime that tends to be between strangers.

Yeah, but you can still let them know you know they are liars and full of shit.

I sent the above original post to all of them. I did change the wording from "the Hawaii legislators" to "nearly all Hawaii legislators". If we are considering permitless carry, it would be 100% as even Gabbard wouldn't go for that.

I hardly think that any state, no matter the details of the data collection, could be ranked "safest personal and residential safety" if even 10% of what the "blood in the streets" "danger to public safety" liars in the legislature and attorney general's office and governor claim. Certainly if it was 100% true there's no way a state with permitless carry forever could possibly be in the top 25.

So what are those numbers (stranger robbery)?

Why robbery and not assault, sexual assault, etc.?

Are you implying that use of a firearm for self-defense outside the home against a known criminal perpetrator should be discounted compared to criminalization by a stranger? Why?

The whole outrage re the case of Carol Bowne was based upon the fact that she was murdered outside her home by a former partner (obviously not a stranger) against whom she had a "restraining order" while she waited long past the supposed time limit for her CCW to be issued. Not a stranger. Outside her home. Dead. She (and many many others like her who are stalked and assaulted outside their homes) doesn't count?

The fact that there are states and cities with legal CCW and very low crime proves there is no direct relationship between the two.  It harpoons the argument that CCW would necessarily result in higher "gun crime."  The stats show the exact opposite in almost every place CCW has been allowed.

You don't have to prove WHAT creates the low (or high) crime rate in a location.  You can easily show there is no negative effect after CCW is allowed compared to the crime rate before then.  That's all that's needed to debunk the "Wild West" myth.

If only the lying fascist civilian disarmament tyrants were amenable to reason, logic, and evidence... ain't gonna happen, ever. I still gotta call 'em out. They have an agenda, and it has nothing at all to do with the lying and false justifications they use to promote civilian disarmament ("public safety", etc.). I know you know that... I'm just particularly disgusted today.  :shaka:
