What do you mean when you say gun scrubber? Are you looking for a chemical cleaner or a physical cleaning device?

There aren't many spray chemicals safe to sell to the general public.
Msds for gun scrubber shows Hexane, which may be phased out due to health risks.
If you like to blast your gun clean, try an acetone-based brake cleaner.
You will need to read the can labels to identify the ingredients.
Why? The manufacturers keep changing the formulas due to health risks.

Remember my trick to clean the lube off loaded ammo? ....Same thing.

The ingredients to look for are acetone and toluene, and little or no methanol.
Use this stuff outside or you will be sorry.
Works great for blasting roaches or starting a BBQ.

I just switched from Balistol to Breakthrough.  Breakthrough is oderless and safe.  Cleans way better than balistol and their oil is better also.  My slide on my VP9 would stick out of battery about 1/8 inch when I push it back on purpose.  Now it comes forward.

Acetone eats plastic but works great on your ammo cases. I use the synthetic safe cleaner to spray the inside of the upper receiver and inside the hand guard.

Too bad freon isn't available anymore. That stuff was awesome as a solvent.

We used to use Freon and perchloroethylene at the shop.
Freon might still be found as LPS contact cleaner spray.
Not to be confused with the CFC-free version.

Not all plastics are affected by acetone.
But just to be safe, don't buy plastic guns.

Thanks for all your recommendations OF. I have been looking for an alternative spray cleaner.

You and I both own a plastic gun. But I'm a revolver kinda guy.    Hard to make a revolver outta plastic.

Hexane based cleaner can be had in CRC MAF sensor cleaner. But it's expensive for a tiny spray can.

It's great for softening up the carbon deposits in the BCG. The contact cleaner spray (now with difluoroethane) is great for cleaning out the lubricants stuck in the receiver corners.

I never felt the need to clean my firearms with anything stronger than Triflon or breakfree, WD40, bore solvent, and brushes. Maybe some compressed air. I save the carb and brake cleaner for the ammo.

maybe you could soak your guns and ammo in Polmolive.  Worked for Madge.  Makes your hands soft too.

Oh man you showing your age. That commercial was from the 60's and Madge died 13 years ago.

I only use dish soap when "softening" the crud in my spent ammo cases. I add a drop to the ultrasonic cleaner. I also add a bit of Lemishine but not sure if that helps so won't buy any more after I run out.

Was at PC Walmart today.... yup there are some cleaning supplies but looks like they are pretty much cleaned out (no pun intended)

Hey Dusty I just missed you by about 20 minutes. I went over there to the Kapolei store. They had the same cleaning kit that is shown in the OP's photo. And they have the large bottles of Hoppe's #9 that is also in the photo. Only $12.67. I know where to go to get Hoppe's. But it doesn't appear they are making room for new cleaning supplies.

The Electronic Cleaner at Napa is cheaper than CRC. Alternatively, the deicer is cheaper but not sure if methanol and ethylene glycol is a good mix for firearms.

According to the msds for Napa electronic cleaner, it contains mostly methanol and methyl acetate.
I suppose it would be safe for plastic parts. Let us know if it is a good sub for gunscrubber.
