As the article states, California and Massachusetts have already enacted statewide bans. This is the first city to enact a ban. You think Honolulu will do the same? I'm guessing the push will be for a statewide ban first, which I don't see how it could fail... given the makeup of the legislature and their proven inability to manifest any critical thinking skills in the realm of firearms and natural rights guaranteed against infringement via enumeration in the Constitutions.

Sadly, I'm actually surprised that this hasn't spread farther.  Maybe it has, but just under the radar since there have been other things to distract us.

I'm just worried about the wording on the bill.  I hope if anything, it will just say bump stocks and not "any device that increases rate of fire".  Because the way our state is, the passing of the bill will be automatic.

Yeah, if they arrest everyone with a belt loop on their pants, or a piece of string, or a stick there's gonna be a SERIOUS lack of prison space. Just sayin'... they are for sure stupid enough to do it.

A permit will be required to buy a broom because the shaft can be used to mimic automatic fire.  Must enroll in rapback also.

This is only a city ordinance.  Not a state law.

I would go to the city border showing just the bump stock on no rifle.  Stick it to the man.
