Surf board question...
« on: January 29, 2018, 10:44:28 PM »
My tenant moved to the mainland and left me his surfboard to sell for him. Since I know squat about surfboards I need to find out what it’s worth. It’s about 7 feet long, bout 3 feet wide (maybe a little less), 4-5” thick and it’s primarily foam with a plastic underside. It has 3 fins and what looks like a bungee cord at the rear. It also has a rubber type pad towards the back. Lightly used and in great condition with no visible dents. Any ideas what it’s worth? Thanks! :shaka:

Sounds like a soft top wavestorm board. Good for kids or a board you don't care if it gets beat up because you can get them for around a hundred bucks new.

Brand?  Condition?  Do you know the age?

Some boards hare highly sought after and cost a lot.  Many others are common and not priced as high.

Here's a place in Honolulu that sells on consignment.  Go to the "BUY" link, and you can browse boards he has for sale and the prices.

Might be a good place to start.  Retail may be higher than private sale, just like most things.

Learning to surf was on my bucket list, but now I'd probably end up on the 6 o'clock news. :shake:
