Lagoon Chinese Restaurant has some good cake noodles, but I am far from a cake noodle connoisseur...

It's just something to throw your stir fry on...Like asking, "who has the best rice?"
I suppose it depends what you put on it.

Most recently I had it at Happy Days at 10th and Waialae.
Before that, Lung Fung at Niu Valley. The guys I shoot with like Lung Fung.

I judge the quality of a Chinese restaurant by their sweet sour spare ribs.

Speaking on rice....  there is a definite difference.  Good rice is much better than hinode at al....   you pay the price, but there is a definite difference in taste and quality. Lol

So I made poi from dry land taro from Laie.
With some raw fish and laulau, I'm happy.

I used to blend Jasmine rice with cheap rice to improve the texture.
....Have not tried those other premium Japanese rice brands yet.

On On used to have my favorite cake noodle dish (minute chicken choy sum). Now? No real go to place. Bale on Kaneohe has a really good chicken choy sum on cake noodle.

I like the cake noodle still on crispy side when i eat, so sometimes a place can have good cake noodle, but sort of loses crispy when getting take out.
