Going to apply for Hawaii CCW
« on: May 03, 2018, 12:51:21 PM »
Gotta go back to PD to pick up permits anyways so I'm going to apply.  And I have extra passport photos from when I went to Taiwan.

Figure HPD short over 200 officers, victims getting letters saying they can't investigate due to manpower shortage.  Might as well apply.

I want my application on record.

Why save them?  You are dealing with people that think they know what is
best for you.  You have no right to defend yourself. You have no rights other than what
they grant you as they see fit.  They firmly believe you are an idiot.
I don't even talk to them unless forced to as it is a waste of time, because
they do as they please operating on rules they devise.
we are long past compromise and " protect and serve".
Act accordingly.

Are you using that as your justification?  Do let us know how it turns out.

Why save them?

We had a drive couple years ago.
Something like 25 to 40 of us applied. ( Sad that's as many members as we could get to apply in a "drive". Number might be off. Puna would know the number)
All denied.

Send copy of denial to HRA.
No-issue State.

Just a thought... So  the states law in regards to places to keep and carry IF a ccw was to be granted you would need a exception to the law in regards to those hrs. I dont remember seeing a subsection saying unless you have a ccw permit you can carry outside of those written law. Am I wrong or anyone know?

134-9c. Says "or" in comoliance with places to keep/hunting. If im reading it correctly.

But for federal gun free zones, 1000ft of a school or can come within the 1000ft if u have that states issued ccw.

Hey DL.

Not sure if this is exactly what your looking for as it is rather "broad" and not quite sure of your line of questioning...
If you mean "unless IF you have a ccw permit you can carry outside of those ("places to keep and carry") written law"
§ 134-9. Licenses to carry.
(a) In an exceptional case, when an applicant shows reason to fear injury to the applicant's person or property, the chief of police of the appropriate county may grant a license to an applicant who is a citizen of the United States of the age of 21 years or more or to a duly accredited official representative of a foreign nation of the age of 21 years or more to carry a pistol or revolver and ammunition therefor concealed on the person within the county where the license is granted.

No carry area's would still include "Gun Free" zones i.e: Schools, Fed Buildings, Post Office, mental Health Facility's, Correctional Facility's etc..
