The medical field tends to be pretty balanced conservative/liberal.  The surgeons and emergency personnel who would tend to gun shot victims tend to be republican.

The issue is what is more important, life or rights?  Those in the medical field will focus on life over rights because that's what they do.  People should give up some rights to save lives even if it's a few.

If I'm not mistaken Dr Green works at Kona Hospital. He is against 2A. Kona hospital and its doctors is allegedly not really considered a worthy hospital by the locals. Most patients go to North Hawaii Community Hospital. But going back to the AMA statement /position. Doctors should stick to taking care of patients and stamp out disease not politics. Did you know that all these cancer center commercials you see are basically to make money. It's all fake news. These so called break through treatments for cancer do not exist. For example, lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, liver, colon, brain, breast, ovarian, the treatment has been the same for the last forty plus years. Yet zillions of dollars are spent on so called cures. There are no cures. All you have to do is look at the five year survival rates and you will see that they have not changed. Look around you and I'm sure you know many friends and family members that are affected by cancer. But the worst parts of medicine are the countless errors made the so called medical professionals. The excuse " it's called a practice". If our airlines operated and made errors like our medical professionals, they would be shut down. How do I know all this. Five years ago I had an appendectomy. Simple thing you say. Guess what, the pathologist never read the slides. Cancer was there, they just didn't read the slides. Five years later I have stage four cancer spread through my abdomen. I have a few months to live, maybe. My oncologist said that there's no treatment other than chemotherapy which does nothing for colon cancer. It would nothing more than an exercise. I have stopped donating money to anything that has to do with medicine. Doctors should stick with medicine and stay out of politics. No sense screw things up in both arenas.

Very sorry to hear this!  As Mac said, please let us know if there is anything that we can do to help.

Yes, cancer has touched my family as well as some of my best friend's family, and friends as well.  My mom went to the doctor with some issues and the diagnosis was diabetes.  Well, some months later, she got jaundiced and more tests showed pancreatic cancer that has metastasized.  My thoughts went to what could have been missed or doctors could have done.  Sadly, pancreatic cancer is one of the worst.  In a sad coincidence, one parent of one of my best friends and two other close friends also had pancreatic cancer and subsequently passed.

One story "good" story that I can share is my aunt had breast cancer that spread all over, including her lymph nodes.  Doctors said she had 6 months to live.  That was back in 1999.  So don't give up.  Sound like a Jimmy V speech, but don't give up.

Since cancer will in some manner hit all of us, I am looking into the future for myself/family.  Canabis oil, Vitamin B7 (almonds) just as a start for an "alternative treatment".  I will refuse Chemo.  It's like killing an ant hill with a bazooka.  It might work, but quality of life will suck for years.

Sorry to hear Scoprio.

I don’t know what to say man other than you will always be in my prayers.
This coming November will be two years since my then 10year old grandson was diagnosed with ALL leukemia. It was caught early and his prognosis is very good. He is in his final treatment stages and with the grace of God, he’ll be fine.
If you need anything, anything at all, please let me know......

It's super tough to find meaningful words of support for anyone going through what your going through. All I can say it don't give up brother, don't throw in the towel. Staying positive is brutally hard but damn does it help, it's REALLY helped me through my very advanced kidney cancer battle & recovery. So again stay positive and know that folks are truly pulling for you.  As far as doctors go, I've met quite a few over the last couple of years that seem to enjoy a little range time.   In fact my oncologist is a huge 2A enthusiast, we spend most of my appointments talking about various firearms we own or have owned over the years, makes the treatments way more bearable

A'Hui hou scorpio ps, will sending some of that positive energy your way.
